But on Juan Epstein's podcast, hosted by Hot 97 DJ Peter Rosenberg and Cipha Sounds, the artist speaks about his roots in rap. -
NBC's 'The Sound of Music' probably won't make its money back...initially
NBC obviously put a lot of work into promoting the new live performance of The Sound of Music, starring Carrie Underwood in the role of Maria Von Trapp, the role filled by Julie Andrews during the original film. The promotion campaign seemed to have paid off, as the broadcast brought in a huge viewership. But that doesn't mean the network made its money back. The Hollywood Reporter got numbers from analysts putting the production's budget at around $9 million. -

Hall and Kelly reminisced about meeting the legendary and inspiring leader then dedicated the show in his honor. A short montage aired prior to Kelly's musical performance, where he played "Soldier's Heart," a song he wrote about Mandela and performed for him back in 2009. -

An unverified report from an anonymous source within Spotify has informed Billboard that the service app will begin allowing the selection of individual songs to make your own playlists on the mobile app this week.
