We've featured several stories during the last couple weeks regarding how excellent live concert recordings are, from the 15,000 hours of live audio featured on Jerry Garcia's website to Bruce Springsteen's plans to allow fans to download live concerts less than 48 hours after attending. This would be a good time, however, to remind you that recording live shows without express permission from the performer can land you in deep with the law. For example, Prince is suing 22 individuals who posted audio of his shows online...for $1 million each. -

Daft Punk to wear 'Star Wars' stormtrooper helmets for 2014 Grammys performance
We've all been wondering what Daft Punk will do for an acceptance speech if they win a Grammy. Ya know, with those helmets and what not. We've now come to find that the duo will be sporting Star Wars stormtrooper helmets, instead of their signature robot headgear, when they hit the stage to perform with Stevie Wonder, Pharrell Williams and Nile Rogers. According to a source, the masks look to be from The Empire Strikes Back era and also appear to be authentic. -
Courtney Love not liable for defamation against former lawyer in Twitter case
A jury has found Courtney Love not liable of defamation in a lawsuit brought against her by her former lawyer, Rhonda Holmes. Holmes had accused Love of making false statement about her on Twitter, which suggested that Holmes was "bought off" when she refused to represent Love against the managers of Kurt Cobain's estate. She filed the suit in May of 2011, almost a year after the initial offending Tweet. -
