T-Pain has dropped a brand new track in anticipation for his new album, Stoicville: The Phoenix, which does not yet have a release date. The song, called "Coming Home," premiered live on The Morning Express with Robin Meade today. The performance featured footage of military personnel and their families, and the song showed a notable departure from his iconic hooks on club anthems. The song once again showcased T-Pain's Auto-tune free vocals and is more of a pop song than a hip-hop cut.

"I've been waiting for too long," T-Pain sings. "And this feeling is gotten too strong / It feels like I've waited all my life / I'm coming home tonight."

T-Pain recently revealed that he is making a move into country music and is in the initial stages of working with Luke Bryan. Earlier this month, he shared the new tracks "Stoicville" and "Let Me Through" feat. Lil Wayne from his upcoming album.

He began making headlines last month when he performed without Auto-tune for the first time on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series. Prior to that, he had criticized Kanye West's use of Auto-tune and detailed his experience during the decline of the use of the software, which drove him into depression and alcoholism.

He also spoke about the inspiration behind his upcoming album — his son.

"Stoicville is a city in my mind that I created. It's basically like my happy place," he told Fuse. "I created it after I found out that my son is autistic. When [autistic people] get frustrated, they cover their ears and close their eyes, and they go to this place. I figured that maybe I need to try that-I get frustrated a lot."

No word on whether "Coming Home" will be used on the upcoming album, but it is now available for free download on TPain.com.
