Carrie Underwood may have said that her new album Storyteller won't be filled with "mommy music," but that doesn't mean that her husband Michael Fisher and son Isaiah Fisher don't get their time on the record. On Monday (Oct. 19) just four days ahead of the LP's release date, Underwood released the touching ode to the loves of her life, "What I Never Knew I Always Wanted."

As if the song's title didn't give it away, the latest Storyteller track features Underwood singing about her love for her husband and son. And though she always saw herself as a fierce, independent country woman, she always had a secret hole in her soul.

"Never pictured myself singing lullabies / Sitting in a rocking chair in the middle of the night In the quiet, in the dark You're stealing every bit of my heart with your daddy's eyes / What a sweet surprise," she sings in the second verse before tenderly declaring "And now I'm holdin' what I never knew I always wanted."

The music is fittingly tender and sweet, with a piano leading the way for instrumentals as Underwood holds back the biggest powers of her voice to turn this song into its own lullaby of sorts.

That other sound? It's the hearts of all new mothers melting across the globe.

"What I Never Knew I Always Wanted" is the latest song to be rolled out from Underwood's new album Storyteller. It follows the release of lead single "Smoke Break" as well as promo tracks "Heartbeat" and "Renegade Runaway." Storyteller will be released on Friday, Oct. 23.
