Throughout her career, Lady Gaga has been known to be extra in terms of performances, extravagant fashion, and sometimes even the way she sings different genres of music. Her popularity skyrocketed after the release of her debut album in 2008, but it appears that the singer has been extra way before the public loved her theatrics.

The pop star's former classmate, "Bachelor" star Carly Waddell, recently spoke in an episode of "Trading Secrets" podcast along with Jason Tartick where she revealed how it was like to be in the same class at the prestigious New York University Tisch School of the Arts with mother monster.

Waddell expressed her true feelings about the musician, saying she was not a fan of her back then, and one of the reasons why was because she was too extra, especially when everyone was having lunch.

"[Gaga] would sit at the piano every single day and just play and sing Wicked at the top of her lungs every day. And we were all just trying to eat lunch. It was break time, and we were all forced to listen to her," she said. (via Out.com)

Although she clarified that the mega-pop sensation was good, she just wanted to have her lunch and it would make her eat in the hallway because Gaga was "driving me crazy."

Lady Gaga Was 'One of the Good Ones' Back in the Day

At the time, the singer was not known as the eccentric Lady Gaga as people would call her by her real name Stefani Germanotta.

Waddell revealed that the musician was "one of the good ones" but she won't consider her as someone who was above anyone else, compared to the status of her career now where she is one of the most popular artists around the world.

It also appears that Gaga has a knack for fashion during her time at school as the reality TV star noted that she would wear leotards and flaunt her bosoms, adding, "She's so ridiculous."

Before she even got involved in musical theater, the pop star had been writing her music which she performed at the New York University talent show, so Waddell found her as "really good" and she excelled in everything, especially when it came to music.

Lady Gaga Never Graduated College

Waddell said she and Lady Gaga were some of the few students who dropped out of the university at the same time, but regardless, both of them found their way into their separate careers.

According to Time Magazine, the Academy Award-winning singer only spent a year at the prestigious NYU to pursue her own music career full-time.

Initially, she would perform at burlesque clubs and play her music at some venues, until she was signed under Interscope Records at the age of 20.

Gaga then took the world of music by storm when her first album, "The Fame," was released.
