The very, almost too public saga fight between Martin Garrix, Spinnin' Records and its artist management arm MusicAllStars Management has another chapter. After some chatter over the summer and into the winter, where it appeared as though the matter over the rights to the "Poison" DJ's music was being settled amicably, the suit turned for the worst when Spinnin' presented their side of the story just before the New Year. Now Garrix is coming back with yet another statement, calling the recent remarks by Spinnin' "to say the least - one sided and in any case incorrect in some respects." -
Goldie Awarded MBE By Queen in New Year’s Honors List
Drum'n'bass pioneer Clifford Price, better known as Goldie, was awarded an MBE for his recording, film and charity work by the Queen in the 2016 edition of the New Year's Honors List. While musicians frequently top the annual list of honorees, the fact that the Metalheadz label co-founder has been named Member of the Order of the British Empire--and thus added to the history books alongside the likes of Paul McCartney and Elton John--is a massive accomplishment for the drum'n'bass scene and electronic producers and DJs in general. -
