    As the year wraps up, it is always interesting to look back at the numbers to see which artists made an impact in their respective field. Beatport has unveiled its list of the top selling and most streamed songs for 2015 on its portal. Some of the names that top the list are expected including Tiësto, but there is a clear trend away from big, thundering EDM tracks and more club-ready or crossover tracks that help bridge that divide, like those from Martin Solveig.

    Cheap Trick has been primed for the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame and Museum since 2002, but wasn't nominated until this year's ballot. The initial group, guitarist Rick Nielson, frontman Robin Zander, bassist Tom Peterson and drummer Bun E. Carlos are due to be inducted into the hall of fame in Brooklyn. The ceremony may very well be the first time that Carlos has been seen with the band in five years. In a strange twist, Carlos is still counted as a member of Cheap Trick but no longer performs with them, as Nielson's son Daxx replaced him in 2010. In a new interview, Cheap Trick talks about the band's induction into the hall of fame.

When addressing a crowd in Iowa City on Wednesday (Dec. 16), the presidential hopeful said that her goal as possible future president is to be as talented at leading the country as the "7/11" singer is onstage.

    BBC Radio One has unveiled the list of DJs who will host a residency in 2016. Each year they rotate in new names, while also keeping some of the more popular hosts. 2016 will see the return of Steve Angello to the decks, while also introducing upstart Dutchman, Oliver Heldens and Russian DJ, Nina Kraviz. George FitzGerald, James Blake and Heidi will hold on to their residencies for the upcoming calendar year.

Now, Adele is looking to carry that through to the new year with a string of North American tour dates and a performance at the 2016 Brit Awards. She is the first performer known to be making an appearance at the ceremony slated for Feb. 24.
