Katy Perry & Lenny Kravitz's "Leaked" Super Bowl Song Surfaces Courtesy Of Tim Heidecker [LISTEN]
Katy Perry's Super Bowl song featuring Lenny Kravitz has leaked. By song, we mean fake song, and by leaked we mean purposely released as a joke. The song actually comes from Tim Heidecker, the Tim and Eric franchise comedian, who is known for his Super Bowl halftime show "leaks." As Billboard notes, last year he dropped the unintelligible "Abracadabralifornia" ahead of the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Super Bowl halftime appearance, and in 2012 he leaked a "Madonna" song that featured a terrible impersonator scatting and singing vague things about football. -
Sam Smith Discusses Taylor Swift, Frank Sinatra & Being an Old Soul in New 'GQ' Interview
Sam Smith is nothing if not an old soul. Not only is his debut album In The Lonely Hour an instant classic, with heartbreaking anthems like "Stay With Me" and "I'm Not The Only One," but he's got an elegance about him that seems like it's from another era - and he's aware of that. In a new interview with GQ, Smith opens up about his desire for another time, strive for perfection and his surprising love for one very modern pop star, Taylor Swift. -
The War on Drugs Frontman Adam Granduciel Discusses Sun Kil Moon Feud, New Music
One of the strangest and funniest music feuds in recent memory was the -- mostly -- one-sided battle between Sun Kil Moon and The War on Drugs from last year, throughout which War on Drugs frontman Adam Granduciel tried his best to take the high road and remain silent about the whole thing. Now, in a new interview with "Uncut," Granduciel has opened up a bit more about the feud, telling Sun Kil Moon frontman Mark Kozelek to "get over" himself and suggesting that Kozelek was perhaps "playing this part" instead of being genuinely outraged. -

That band's American Beauty/American Psycho premiered at no. 1 with 218,000 equivalent albums sold, and its 192,000 actual album sales teamed with Meghan Trainor's debut last week for the first pair of albums released during January to top 150,000 apiece since 2010. American Beauty marked a significant uptick in sales from the band's 2013 album Save Rock and Roll. -

Big Sean announced some major details for upcoming third studio album earlier this week. Titled Dark Sky Paradise, the effort is slated for a Feb. 24 release and was mostly recorded in his home studio, save for his single "IDFWU." The Detroit rapper is now featured on the February/March 2015 cover of Complex. In the story, he visits his high school, Cass Technical, and the radio station where his life changed forever after Kanye West let him spit for him, Hot 102.7, among other local spots. Sean speaks about the Eric Garner and Mike Brown decisions, his failed relationship with Naya Rivera, his current relationship with Ariana Grande, Kendrick Lamar's verse on his song "Control," and working with Roc Nation and G.O.O.D. Music, among other topics. Here's what we learned: -
Marvin Gaye/Robin Thicke, Pharrell Williams 'Blurred Lines' Lawsuit Hits Roadblock as Audio Recordings Disallowed
Marvin Gaye's estate insists that "Blurred Lines," the top song of 2013 by Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams, is unmistakably similar to the soul singer's "Got To Give It Up," and indeed many who listen to the tracks will be able to hear the likeness. However, a judge has ruled that jurors in the case won't be able to listen to the two songs as part of their deliberations...which hardly seems fair but there is legal reasoning behind it. -

Ailee, San E and Jay Park Touring Together Across United States with One Surprising European Stop
A trio of K-Pop stars—Ailee, San E and Jay Park—will take part in a "world" tour featuring five North American dates during March. K-Pop acts are branching more and more into waters outside of Asia as the genre develops an audience in Europe and the United States but, as Billboard points out, rarely do acts actually tour together. Generally one act plots a few dates across the United States and can do well enough. The "Unite The Mic 2015 Tour" serves as a great sampler for those wanting to check the scene out...or as a great deal in general for American K-Pop fans. -
