Marvel Comics News: Run The Jewels Lend Artistic Influence to Upcoming Issues of 'Howard The Duck' and 'Deadpool'
Run The Jewels is far from the best-selling hip hop act from the last two years. Despite that fact, they're potentially the most culturally relevant at the moment, thanks not only to the critical acclaim that's been brought down upon its self-titled debut from 2013 and Run The Jewels 2 last year, but also the group's recognizable logo: A pair of amputated hands, one holding a chain and the other making a gun. That sort of recognizability has gotten them an honor that many an emcee can't claim: a Marvel comic book cover. -

DMX Wants You To Know He Has 'Never Sucked A D--K'
DMX has always been an eccentric character. Whether it is his sometimes offbeat raps or his somewhat head-scratching and at times public appearances, the life of DMX is never dull. With that voice anything can be made fun. This time around, DMX, real name Earl Simmons, took a moment during a show with Wu-Tang Clan recently to assure the crowd that he in fact "Did not suck d-k." This was not a passing comment, he repeated the statement about a dozen times, which is incredibly puzzling because it is not likely that the crowd went into the show thinking about some non-existent rumors that DMX likes to perform oral sex on men. With such a fervent denial, there will probably be a lot more people who are inclined to think he does now -

Izod Center—Longtime New Jersey Staple of Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi and More—to Close in March
It's almost a story out of a Bruce Springsteen song: All the jobs are going elsewhere and the town begins to die. The "town" in this case is the Izod Center at the Meadowlands complex in East Rutherford, one of The Boss's favorite concert joints in his home state. A rash of competition in the region, from the Newark Prudential Center to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, have begun swallowing up both music and sports events. Now Governor Chris Christie is pushing a plan to close the arena in March. -

Mustard does what he does so well in giving the fun, upbeat, autotuned original a club-friendly makeover with more powerful drums, bigger chords, chops up the vocals to fit the structure of the song and adds his own "drop" with pitched, rising synths. -
