    Today, Dec. 13, marks the one-year anniversary of Beyoncé's self-titled album, which was released on iTunes in the middle of the night without any warning or promotion whatsoever. Aside from revolutionizing the way in which mainstream artists choose to release their music, "Beyoncé" is musically a remarkable album as well, a refreshingly progressive and cerebral blend of trap, R&B, and electronica. To celebrate the anniversary of this incredible album, here's a ranking of its five best songs.

    C-Murder is currently serving a life sentence for the 2002 murder of a 16-year-old fan but apparently the time he spent outside of a jail cell was a struggle in itself. The incarcerated rapper teamed up with Boosie BadAzz and Snoop Dogg on a new song called "Hard 2 Be Black," where they rhyme about the life of a black man in America.

    Smith recently revealed details about the Red Hot Chili Peppers' forthcoming 11th studio album, and provided promises of a "new method" during the creation process, but Smith also let another important detail slip: He's planning a television comedy show with doppelganger Will Ferrell.

    Charli XCX and Bleacher's frontman Jack Antonoff have replaced those cute animated hamsters for Kia's latest commercial. Antonoff channels a distorted '80s sound for his cover of "Break the Rules" and Charli XCX goes all out punk princess on "Rollercoaster."

    Chance the Rapper has accidently released a new song with his group The Social Experiment called "Ish Illa (Cold Stares)" for his upcoming album Surf, due out by the end of 2014. According to Reddit, Chano is asking for anyone who has ripped the three-minute track to take it down. Unfortunately once something is on the Internet, it's hard to make it disappear, and apparently this song was only meant to be shared with his group.
