  • Zayn Malik Quits One Direction: Band Removes Vocalist from Tour Montage Video, Assigns Solo Parts

The world of One Direction was rocked last week when—just after leaving the band's "On The Road Again" Tour—Zayn Malik officially quit the boy band. The group has continued on the tour as Directioners continue to recover from the trauma (as reported by our own Carolyn Menyes last week), but obvious logistical issues have come to the fore: What happens to band merchandise that still features Malik prominently (aka most of it)? The group hasn't quite figured that issue out yet but it has solved a slightly simpler issue, apparently having successfully edited the vocalist out of the band's opening montage video for last weekend's show in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The shows will kick off during mid-July, giving the pop star a three-month break to spend with boyfriend Big Sean (that is, if she doesn't mind following him around on his own tour).

The rapper—joined by Murs, Chris Webby, King 810 (notable for being a metal band, not a hip-hop group), ZUSE and of course his buddy Krizz Kaliko—will cram nearly 50 dates into less than two months.

Instead, he talked about touring with Madonna and his original intentions to be an actor, and became friends with Fallon's other guest Will Forte. The trio also got to touch fish and other "river monsters" with 'River Monsters' host Jeremy Wade.

  • Megadeth Names Lamb of God's Chris Adler as New Drummer for Forthcoming Release; Is A Guitarist Next?

Megadeth has confirmed at least one new member for the recording of its new album, declaring this week that Lamb of God's Chris Adler would step behind the kit. There's no word on whether he'll be able to continue on tour with the group, as his primary band is reportedly working on a new album as well, but it's a good start for the thrash icons.

Cole. Though J. Cole was not originally listed on the initial tracklist release, it was known that he was one of the few features on the album. Fitting with the theme of the album, "The Pessimist" kicks off with a George Costanza sound bite from season three, episode 17.
