• Hardwell Announces Mr. Probz Collaboration & Confirms Release Date For Album 'United We Are'

    Hardwell has been pretty closed lipped about his upcoming album United We Are, but he revealed in a reply to a fan comment on Facebook the release date for his debut album. The "Young Again" producer posted a picture on his socials of him in his home studio with Dutch singer sensation, Mr Probz. In a reply to a fan comment on the photo Hardwell confirmed that his debut album United We Are will be released on Jan. 23. He also announces that in finishing his collab with the "Waves" singer, he had at last completed his long awaited artist album.

    Calvin Harris beat out some tough competitors like Avicii, David Guetta and Hardwell for the title of Best Electronic Artist at MTV's European Music Awards Sunday, Nov. 9. The EMA win was his first after four previous nominations. The network announced prior to the show that Harris would not be able to perform at the event: "Hey #MTVEMA fans — we have some really sad news. Calvin Harris has taken ill and will not be able to perform at tomorrow's show. He sends his sincere apologies. Get well soon, Calvin!" According to BBC News, the cancellation was due to some heart issues, which Harris revealed in a tweet that has since been deleted. "No EMAs for me this weekend. Got some heart problems. Heading home to see if it can be fixed x," the electronic dance music artist reportedly wrote.

    Music Times caught Calvin Harris at Lollapalooza during the first weekend of August and noted that it seemed the DJ had invested his earning from last year-$46 million-into his elaborate and bright stage set. If our hypothesis that the size of his set directly reflects his earnings, next year's concerts will be off the charts: Harris topped Forbes' list of the highest earning electronic musicians for the second straight year, bringing a whopping $66 million over the last 12 months.

    It's bad enough when you've got to figure out which music festival you're going to drop a lot of money on this summer. It's worse when two music festivals appealing to the same fan base are going down on the same day. It's the worst when both of those music festivals are going on within 100 miles of each other. Such is the case between the Electric Daisy Carnival New York and the Mysteryland Festival are both going down this Memorial Day weekend.

Today's example is fans of EDM in Scotland losing out on a chance to see Hardwell-the world's top-ranked DJ according to DJ Magazine-because of an incident that happened earlier last week at a show in Northern Ireland. The city of Edinburgh opted to cancel Saturday night's show due to the number of "casualties" that occurred last Thursday night in Belfast at Hardwell's show.
