  • Lorde Shares Clip Of Old Song 'Lost Boys' Cut From 'Pure Heroine' [LISTEN]

Lorde is currently hard at work (we hope) on her new album, but today (December 10) the 18-year-old Kiwi pop star shared a clip of a song through her Tumblr that she probably won't be releasing officially any time soon. The song, titled "Lost Boys," was written and recorded in 2013 for her debut album "Pure Heroine," but was ultimately cut from the album because "it was not a good song," at least according to Lorde.
  • Lorde Admits Liking to Trawl for Inorganics

One of the biggest teen stars in the world, Lorde is about as recognizable as any major musician worldwide. At 18, however, she is barely out of high school and still in the prime of her youth. With that youth comes some odd tendencies that one might expect from a teenager regardless of whether or not they are in the spotlight 24/7. In an interview with "Stella" — the British newspaper "The Telegraph's" weekly edition — the "Royals" star reveals that she likes to go sifting through other people's trash for useful items. The interview also goes on to discuss "Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" and her first time in contact with Jennifer Lawrence, who on the set "totally fanned out" when she saw Lorde. She also discusses how she handles her image as a teenage girl pop star and why she eschews the red carpet, but the most interesting caveat is how she takes part in a New Zealand recycling/reuse initiative where each year everyone clears out old junk they are no longer using, like cabinets, cloths, TVs, etc., and puts them out on the street for others to take. It is then shipped off to a landfill, but before that people go through other people's trash and potentially find their own treasures. One of those individuals trawling the trash is Lorde. Lorde describes her passion for going out on the hunt: "See, I'm boring because my favorite thing to do is trawl the inorganics. Do you have inorganics here?"
  • Lorde Performs 'Yellow Flicker Beat,' Discusses 'Hunger Games' Soundtrack on 'Tonight Show' [WATCH]

Last night, in support of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1," New Zealand's biggest music star Lorde went onto "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" to discuss the project, perform her main contribution to the album, "Yellow Flicker Beat" and discuss how she was Taylor Swift's manager for a day. The "Royals" star gave an inspired performance, highlighted by her jarring stage movements. She then sat down with Fallon to cheerily discuss the project and note how difficult it was to make. She shares the story of how she became Taylor Swift's manager for a day at the Grammys and shows off her "There is someone famous" face. Lorde also discusses the recording and release of "Royals," telling the story of how she stuck to her convictions and released the track despite the meddling of a label, via "Consequence of Sound." The "Royals" star was given the incredibly daunting task of curating the "Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" soundtrack earlier this year and managed to assemble an all-star cast to put together a group of songs that captured the essence of the film.
  • Lorde Talks 'Hunger Games, 'Nirvana in Recent Interview, Taking Her Time with New Album

Lorde has been pretty busy since her debut album, "Pure Heroine," dropped last year. The "Royals" singer has been parodied on "South Park," performed with Nirvana at the band's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony and was even charged with curating the soundtrack for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1." In a recent interview with "Rolling Stone's" Brian Hiatt, Lorde talked about her many adventures in music, which included a tour stop in her native New Zealand last month. "It definitely feels like a bit of a victory lap," she said. The singer got the Hunger Games gig in July and it has taken up a lot of her precious time.
