If you're a fan of VH1's Hollywood Exes then you're already familiar with Shanna Moakler. The former Miss USA was once married to Travis Barker and after splitting back in 2009 the two have continued to live together to co-parent their kids. While it sounds like an odd arrangement, the way that Moakler explained it made it sound logical. Instead of shuffling kids, she and Barker take turns holding down the fort during their visitation time. Unfortunately, on Dec. 7 the former lovebirds got into a scary altercation that involved death threats and Moakler calling the police. -
Various French Media Companies Offer to Keep 'Charlie Hebdo' Running
Less than 24 hours after two gunmen walked into the Parisian offices of "Charlie Hebdo" and opened fire, killing 10 key staffers, the French media is working together to figure out how to keep the publication running. The publication takes a weekly satirical look at hot button political and religious issues — something everyone does not always appreciate. In fact, the offices were fire bombed back in 2010, leading to a regular police presence around the perimeter of the building the newspaper was located in. While not everyone agrees with the content that has been produced by "Charlie Hebdo," the right to produce it has been widely supported, especially in light of this tragedy.According to a report by "The Hollywood Reporter," the French media is beginning to work together to align itself so "Charlie Hebdo" will continue, exactly what the gunmen still on the loose did not want to see happen."TV giant France Televisions, Radio France and newspaper 'Le Monde,' in a joint statement late on Wednesday, [Jan. 7,] vowed to offer human and material support needed to keep 'Charlie Hebdo' alive. They didn't immediately detail how much staff and what other help they would make available."The three groups invite all French media who have mobilized since this morning to meet to preserve the principles of independence and liberty of thought and expression, the guarantors of our democracy," said an official statement that was announced this morning regarding the future of "Charlie Hebdo." -
Sydney Police Move in to Rescue Hostages Held in Café by Man Haron Monis, a Self-Styled Iranian Sheikh with Ties to ISIS
It appears that a 15-hour standoff between a lone gunman and police has come to an end. Man Haron Monis, a self-styled Iranian sheikh, has been identified as the man who walked into a busy chocolate café in Sydney, Australia's financial district and took a number of hostages, according to AOL. The situation remains fluid, but as of now we know police stormed the cafe and, while gunshots rang out, at least some hostages were able to escape to safety.Monis already has an illustrious criminal record with various charges of sexual assault, and he also has been arrested for sending hate mail to families of Australian soldiers who have died in Afghanistan. Monis is currently free on bail after being considered an accessory to murder after his alleged girlfriend was killed and he then set his wife on fire. After taking several people hostage earlier today, said ABC News, Monis encouraged them to use social media to get his wish for an ISIS flag and a conversation with Australian political figures across to everyone listening. At times the hostages were seen pushed up against the plate-glass windows and Monis could be seen pacing wildly. After about 11 hours in captivity, five hostages were able to make a run for safety and, upon realizing it, Monis reportedly became more unstable, leading police to start to formulate their plan to go in after him. -
A Petition Has Been Filed by National Bar Association to Strip Darren Wilson of His Police Badge in Missouri
About a week after learning that he would not be indicted for the Aug. 9 shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown, Darren Wilson ironed out the details and resigned from the Ferguson Police Department. Wilson agreed with the department that it is in everyone's best interest that he not serve and protect in Ferguson again. His being on the streets would only put him as well as other officers at risk. While it seems unlikely that Wilson will patrol anywhere again, he has still retained his badge — and that is something the National Bar Association is not happy about. The country's oldest and largest group of African-American attorneys and judges have filed a nine-page petition requesting that Wilson be completely stripped of his badge. The official petition is requesting that the Missouri Department of Public Safety revoke Wilson's badge. While under oath, Wilson insisted that during his altercation with Brown he had feared for his life, but some naysayers believe the officer got away with murder. -
Jeanine Pirro of Fox News Claims that 'Minority Communities' Need to Be More Sensitive Toward the Police
Fox News often finds itself under fire for the stance that the network appears to take on hot-button issues, and right now nothing is more volatile than the tension between police and their handling of the black community. Last night, Jeanine Pirro decided to ask for viewer feedback on whether or not police should be more careful in the way they deal with incidences occurring in black communities and the response was quite unified. In between people stating the obvious — that if you are not breaking the law then you are less likely to find yourself tangled in any sort of altercation — there was also the thinking that communities need to be more mindful of the police. Pirro backed up that notion and, interestingly enough, it Is a sentiment that even New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has echoed.Basically, the thinking is that there is a rift, and in order to fix it both sides need to take steps toward meeting in the middle. He also admitted last week, shortly after it was announced that NYPD Officer Daniel Pantaleo would not be indicted in the chokehold death of Eric Garner, that his own biracial son has been directed on how to carry himself if he should be stopped by a police officer. -
'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood' Reunion Show Preview Clip Shows Masika Tucker and Hazel-E Still Feuding Over Yung Berg
If you have followed VH1's "Love & Hip Hop Hollywood" over the last few months then you're already familiar with the bad blood that has been brewing between Hazel-E and Masika Kalysha Tucker. The ladies started off as friends but it didn't take long for Tucker to decide that Hazel-E's relationship with Yung Berg was pretty one-sided. He basically said what he needed to in order to get what he wanted out of her and then totally disrespected her whenever anyone asked about their status. Tucker ultimately made a beeline for her good friend Berg and after months of building a relationship, the new couple finally comes face-to-face with Hazel-E on the reunion show which begins airing on VH1 next Monday night. -

Tucker called the police after Berg allegedly choked her out and beat her up but that doesn't mean that their relationship is over. In fact, they both have posted visual proof on Instagram that shows that they are still very much together. -
New Video Allegedly Shows Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson Making Random Threats to Mike Arman in 2013
This is probably the worst time for anything else negative regarding Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson to be released to the press, but a new video has leaked depicting his demeanor with a suspect in October 2013 and it is not good. Wilson reportedly showed up on Mike Arman's property to issue a court summons for derelict vehicles. Arman pulls out his cellphone and informs Wilson that he is going to record everything, making it sound like he was already leery of the local police department. In the 15-second clip, you can clearly hear Wilson tell Arman, "If you don't stop taking pictures, I'm gonna lock your ass up."Wilson tells him that he has no right to film him and physically moves the camera. Here is the issue in the police report filed by Wilson: His depiction of the entire incident is basically disproved by the video. Arman was charged with failure to comply until his attorney saw the video. He was also charged with violating pitbull violations, which is a bit funny because the dog was actually a bull dog. -
'Love & Hip Hop's' Moniece Slaughter Accused of Bilking NBA Star Joe Smith Out of More Than $100K
"Love & Hip Hop Hollywood" would be really boring if everyone kept their noses clean, right? I am sure VH1 runs like a well-oiled machine on that belief, so every time one of its stars catches a negative headline, the execs must see extra dollar signs. This time around, it is Moniece Slaughter who is making waves. Sure, she has been known to have some violent tendencies on camera, but now an ex is accusing Slaughter of bilking him out of $109,000.According to a report by TMZ, former NBA star Joe Smith has filed a police report alleging that Slaughter wrote nine checks between October 2011 and March 2012 to a man named Timothy Clayton Carr. Smith claims not to know Carr and says he never wrote the checks either. Carr claims he cashed the checks for Slaughter because she said she did not have a bank account to do so herself. At least, that is what he told police in June 2012. Carr also claims not to have known that there was any issue at all until the final check he cashed for Slaughter ended up being canceled. -
Colorado State's Stefan Sortland Caught with Stolen Ambulance After Blowing Lines of Coke, Taking Molly and Eating Wheat Thins
Every once in a while, a story comes out that is just way too bizarre not to be true, and luckily, we have stumbled onto one of those today. On Halloween night, 18-year-old Colorado State student Stefan Sortland went to a concert where he took Molly and blew lines of cocaine. Apparently he was not the only one partying a little too hard, because when paramedics finished treating another student on campus, they returned to find their ambulance missing. Luckily, the GPS on board allowed it to be tracked to nearby Loveland, and that is when the real fun began.According to ABC 7 News, Loveland police officers said they found the ambulance in the middle of Highway 34 with several doors open, heavy front-end damage and fluid leaking. One officer said it appeared the driver of the ambulance had hit the raised median, jumped the curb, hit a sign, went the wrong way and crossed back over the median before stopping.Officers said they found Sortland standing about 30 yards from the stopped ambulance wearing an EMT vest. Officers shot him with a stun gun when he refused their commands. Sortland had a blanket, a cellphone and a box of Wheat Thins with him. -
'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood's Yung Berg Has Been Fired After Beating Up Masika Tucker in NYC
Just when we had resigned ourselves to the notion that the "Love & Hip Hop" franchise loves when its cast members get into a physical altercation because it jacks up the ratings, they have actually done something respectable. We told you earlier this week that after taping the reunion show for "Love & Hip Hop Hollywood" in NYC, Yung Berg got extremely violent with his girlfriend/costar, Masika Tucker. -
