    People love buying Beyoncé's new self-titled fifth studio album. Released by total surprise on Friday, Dec. 13, the album has sold over 991,000 copies to date and is looking forward to a third week on top of the Billboard 200. However, for as much as people love buying music, they also love getting it for free, and according to Billboard.biz, "Beyoncé" is one hot illegally downloaded set.

    For the most of 2013, Jack White has been working on an archival project centered around Paramount Records, a now defunct blues label from the 1920s that worked with artists including Louis Armstrong, Ma Rainey, Fletcher Henderson, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver and Ethel Waters.

    U2 have reunited with its old label Island Records to release their upcoming studio album, which is due out in the Spring.
  • Prince plays 27-song career-spanning set for 2013 Holiday Show [Setlist]

    Prince began his three-night stand at Mohegan Sun Arena Friday night. The 27-song set lasted two and a half hours and covered his 35-year career, according to Consequence of Sound. He was backed by a 21-piece band including members of 3rdEyeGirl and New Power Generation. The set included hits "Purple Rain" and "When Doves Cry" as well as a the 1980s B-side "She's Always in My Hair." He also played "Mutiny" from his one-off project The Family.

    Alt-rocker Beck has entered battle with Inglorious Bastered actor Til Schweiger, who played Sgt. Hugo Stiglitz in the film and is one of the top filmmakers in Germany. According to gossip site TMZ, Schweiger claims that Beck destroyed his Malibu rental property. He had been renting it to the rocker for $11,000 per month from 2010 until February of this year.
