Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, are involved in another legal drama and have reportedly been ordered to pay $500,000.

Nicki Minaj, Husband Beat Up Security Guard Lawsuit Explained

Rolling Stone reported that Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, have been ordered by a Los Angeles Judge to pay a security guard named Thomas Weidenmuller after allegedly beating them backstage.

The said brutal scuffle left Weidenmuller with a broken jaw, among many other injuries. The publication revealed that Weidenmuller and the Pettys had already entered legal limbo in 2022. He pointed out in a past complaint that Petty "ambushed him from behind and sucker punched him in the face as retribution" for Weidenmuller defending his fellow security guard after it got into a dispute with Nicki Minaj during a 2019 concert in Germany.

Weidenmuller alleged that the "Chun-Li" rapper became "visibly frustrated" after the female security guard allowed a fan to climb up on the barricade and reached the stage with her, posing a possible security threat. Minaj then proceeded to record the interaction while she scolded the guard, berating her.

Weidenmuller then interjected on the ongoing argument and told Minaj that it wouldn't be fair for his co-worker to have her working reputation "ruined." Minaj retaliated and lodged a shoe at Weidenmuller, but he missed. He then accused Petty of "forcefully" striking him in the face, which left him "stunned and disoriented," after he saw him allegedly disrespecting Minaj, his wife.

"I now have five plates in my jaw, and my jaw has not yet been fully reconstructed. The doctors must still insert implants into my jaw as a part of the reconstruction process. In the interim, the doctors have inserted donor bones from a deceased person into my mouth in order to preserve space for the future implants," Weidenmuller said in a statement.

Nicki Minaj, Kenneth Petty Ordered To Pay $500K

According to court documents obtained by Rolling Stone, Thomas Weidenmuller asked for $721,000 in restitution, which covers both of his medical bills and ongoing injury, emotional pain, and suffering. But, the judge decided that the Pettys would only pay $503,318.

Since then, Petty and Minaj haven't responded to the lawsuit, which makes the order a default decision. Weidenmuller's team has contacted Minaj repeatedly, but they have never made contact. Minaj and Petty have never addressed the lawsuit. (via Uproxx)
