Ice Spice has always been very proud of being a huge fan of Nicki Minaj.

Despite being a young rapper on the scene, she has gotten incredible support from the Queen of Rap and has two chart-topping hits.

Ice Spice Recalls Working With Nicki Minaj in 'Princess Diana' MV

In 2023, Ice Spice got a major collaboration with Nicki Minaj on her song "Princess Diana."

Their iconic collaborations have sparked a lovely relationship, with Minaj even crowning Ice Spice as the Princess of Rap.

When Sean Evans of "Hot Ones" sat with Ice Spice to eat ten spicy chicken wings while asking her different questions, he also asked the Grammy-nominated rapper which music video was the most fun to shoot. She revealed that her music video shoot with Nicki Minaj for "Princess Diana" was her best one so far.

"The "Princess Diana" remix with Nicki was my favorite video to shoot 'cause I was just so excited. Oh my god," she remembered. "I've never been that excited on set."

Ice Spice also recalled being on the bed, bouncing with Nicki Minaj was "so fun."

The song reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and other music charts when it was released. Months later, Ice Spice and Minaj collaborated again on "Barbie World," to recreate Aqua's 1990s record of the same song with a modern remake.

"Barbie World" landed two Grammy nominations for Minaj and Ice Spice - Best Rap Song and Best Song Written for Visual Media.

Ice Spice, Nicki Minaj Friendship Explored

In a 2023 interview with Variety, Ice Spice reveals she has some "pinch-me" moments.

"Sometimes I just wake up and I'm like, 'I'm a text Taylor' or 'I'm a text Nicki.' And then they be answering and I'm like, 'Wow, that really makes me feel like that girl, for real,'" she admitted. "Them supporting me and just encouraging me gives me all the motivation I need."

In an interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe, Ice Spice reflected on the first time she met her idol, Nicki Minaj.

"I was, like, nervous to get there. Once I got there, I was like, 'Okay, I'm chilling.' But then I heard her, like, say something and then I got nervous," Ice Spice remembered feeling." When she hugged me, I started crying... I cried, but I walked away. Like, I didn't say anything to her,. I just feel like, 'Bro, like just the journey.' You know I love Nicki and meeting her was great and everything, but for me, it also just mostly felt like, 'This is a full circle moment'."
