It's about time that One Direction turned things down a few notches on its new album FOUR. Today (Nov. 13), the "Steal My Girl" band unveiled the latest track for those who pre-ordered the record, the stunning lovelorn ballad "Fool's Gold."

Though the majority of 1D's music depicts the magic of meeting a woman, falling in love and dancing happily ever after to the "Best Song Ever," "Fool's Gold" tenderly tells the story of a heartbreaker who has chosen the lads of One Direction as her next target - but they don't regret falling in love with her.

"And, yeah, I let you you use me from the day that we first met / But I'm not done yet / Falling for ya / Fool's Gold / I knew that you turned it on for everyone you met / But I don't regret / Falling for ya / Fool's Gold," they poignantly sing in the chours.

Channeling the acoustic vibes of the tenderest parts of its discography such as the Take Me Home track "Little Things," One Direction get tender with the instrumentation. The singsong, catchy melody plays sweetly against the acoustic guitars. The '80s influence heard on the majority of FOUR thus far is not lost on "Fool's Gold," with epic drums and heavy handed production. And the impact is huge.
