While Giuliana Rancic's on-air comments about Zendaya Coleman's hair on Oscar night may have created the kind of controversy that made it easy for both Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin to quit Fashion Police, it was hardly the biggest problem. Griffin may have only survived 7 episodes of the show but in that time she got a pretty good idea of how ridiculous things are behind the scenes. While E! seems like it is determined to keep Rancic on the show but from the sounds of it, her insane diva demands and insecurity definitely take a toll on everyone.

According to a report by Radar Online, "Giuliana's entourage of a stylist, make-up artist, and assistant, plus her constant need for attention, were absolutely stunning to Kathy. She is extremely low-maintenance, and doesn't need to pay people to follow her around all day. Tapings of Fashion Police were awful because Giuliana constantly needed to have her make-up re-touched. Her face was always in front of a mirror. Kathy wanted to turn it into a skit for her comedy act! Giuliana was always seeking approval and compliments from the crew of Fashion Police, and if she wasn't being validated, there were tears. This is a grown woman, not a teenager," explains an insider.

It seems more than a little ironic that the network is insisting on hanging onto the one person who is pretty clearly a real detriment to the show. If things behind the scenes are a mess then it certainly shows once the show hits the air. Or else in this case it's apparent now because both Osbourne and Griffin have quit. Supposedly some network insiders are now pushing to have Fashion Police canceled. Do you think that it's time to put an end to the show once and for all? Or should they instead scramble to find two new replacement hosts? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
