In anticipation of Tame Impala's third studio album summer release, the band decided to release a behind-the-scenes video, recounting the creation of their 2015 LP. Currents. Directed by Matt Sav and Tame Impala front man Kevin Parker, the video gives viewers deeper insight to Parker's creative processes.

The psychedelic, flashy clip, Currents in the Making, teases the never before heard track, "Nangs," off of their third LP, which follows 2012's Lonerism and 2010 debut album, Innerspeaker. Parker can be seen jamming to music his shack mansion studio and manning the drum kit on the studio balcony where much of Currents was recorded as well as roaming down nearby roads and scaling mountains to hear his latest work.

"I always find myself wanting to go back there," Parker told DIY of the shack mansion. "It overlooks this amazing bay, and it's a ridiculous house. It's falling apart. I set the drums up on the balcony. I didn't have my own house, I'd come back from Paris, and I didn't have anywhere to stay, or a recording space," he explained. "So I thought I'd go back to Wavehouse. I just set up all my stuff from home there."

Parker further detailed the Australian group's decision to venture into more dance-inspired music, saying "I wanted to make something that from the sound of it could be down at the club. I just realised that I'd never heard Tame Impala played somewhere with a dancefloor or where people were dancing," notes NME.

Currents will hit stores on July 17 as Tame Impala wraps up the summer with a handful of UK and Ireland gigs later this year.
