Foo Fighters have kept their fans at the edge of their seats ever since they unveiled a mysterious countdown clock to their website. The cryptic message has Foo fanatics guessing the meaning behind it, from the release of potential new music to the day front man Dave Grohl possibly gets his cast removed. Now, the group has teased a minute of a new track, which could be called "Nothing's Set In Stone," words that adorn the bottom of the site.

The stealthy website is slated to terminate on Nov. 23 as they've slowly dropped hints towards the countdown clock's purpose. Since primary exposure to the site, details have sluggishly made their way to the page, including an ambient background of suburban roads and trees paired with atmospheric sounds, images of the band members and shots from recording.

Fan site Foo Fighters Live put their super sleuthing skills to the test and uncovered the ID tag on the background music as "2nd Century AD," AlternativeNation notes.

Fans, in a desperate attempt to crack the countdown code, have compared the website's crest to that of the Route 66 sign, pointing at a potential second season of Sonic Highways. That's not so far fetched, however, seeing as how the former Nirvana drummer himself has entertained the idea of a follow-up season and album of the Emmy Award-winning HBO documentary series.

The "Everlong" musicians recently admitted to an American audience that they tracked five songs in Texas, prior to an Austin City Limits performance. The tracks have been named "Iron Rooster," "Neverending Sigh," "Saint Cecilia," "Savior Breath" and "Sean."

Fresh off the heels of their wildly successful North American tour and in the midst of the violence in France, the group decided to cancel the remaining European string of tour dates, including one stop in the French capital.

"It is with profound sadness and heartfelt concern for everyone in Paris that we have been forced to announce the cancellation of the rest of our tour. In light of this senseless violence, the closing of borders, and international mourning, we can't continue right now. There is no other way to say it. This is crazy and it sucks. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was hurt or who lost a loved one," Foo Fighters said in a statement.
