The cast of "Stranger Things" isn't just talented when it comes to the big screen as most of them also work as musicians on the side. Maya Hawke, who played the role of Robin Buckley on the series, is not an exception as she recently released a new song.
According to Collider, the 24-year-old actress dropped a new track along with an explicit music video for the single "Thérèse."
The track is from her upcoming album titled "Moss." The five-minute video contains graphic x-rated scenes that were shot on a 35mm film.
Directed by Brady Corbet, popularly known for being an actor in "Funny Games" and shot by cinematographer Trevor Tweeten, the music video featured several naked actors making love in front of the camera while staying in the woods.
Later in the video, police officers arrived to intervene and arrest the people who participated in such activities.
The ending scene shows a barely-clothed Maya Hawke lipsyncing to her song as she and the other actors walk out of the woods in handcuffs.
The outlet noted that the lyrics of the folk-genre song revolve around the "exploration of escapism" and struggling with public perception.

In a previous interview with Dazed, the actress hopes that people feel something other than "shame, self-hatred, and loneliness" whenever they listen to her song.
"Thérèse" is a part of her upcoming second studio album "Moss," which will be available for purchase and streaming on September 23.
Hawke isn't the first "Stranger Things" star who released a new song over the past few months as Joe Keery, who played the role of Robin's best friend Steve Harrington, shared a new project under his alias Djo.
In early reports, the 30-year-old actor released "Change" last month, which he described as a song that heavily resembles Tame Impala's pop-funk jam.
The track will be a part of his sophomore album "DECIDE" which will be released on September 16.
Many "Stranger Things" fans didn't know that Keery had been focusing on music since he was a teenager. He used to be a part of Post Animal before going solo.
The upcoming was created during the COVID-19 pandemic and all tracks were recorded at the Sound Factory in Los Angeles, California.
Explaining the meaning behind his new record, the singer said it's an aural history of his late 20s.
