Queen Elizabeth has already been laid to rest, but another controversy sparked on social media after Canadians called out their prime minister, Justin Trudeau, for singing a particular song days before the monarch's state funeral; was it offensive?

According to the New York Post, the 50-year-old political leader along with pianist Gregory Charles and some members of the Canadian delegation were filmed at a hotel in London over the weekend.

The group was singing the iconic song "Boheian Rhapsody" by the legendary band Queen.

According to Trudeau's office who issued a statement to the Toronto Star, the prime minister had a small gathering after dinner and they "have come together to pay tribute to the life and service of Her Majesty."

The pianist in the footage also shared his sentiments over the "spontaneous homage" confirming he and other Canadians were able to spend time with the prime minister at the lobby of the hotel where he played "a few U.K. tunes."

Justin Trudeau Called Out on Social Media For Queen Elizabeth II Homage

After the video made rounds online, many fans immediately expressed their disappointment with Trudeau's behavior during the longest-reigning monarch's funeral.

"Clearly just went to London to party. And stay at londons most expensive hotel. The Savoy," one user wrote in the video posted on YouTube.

One user called out the leader for singing the lyrics "easy come, easy go, it doesn't really matter to me" as they alleged that it's offensive because the United Kingdom is mourning for the loss of Her Majesty.

"He is representing Canada at probably the most solemn funeral in memory and he's at a bar singing? Is this a joke? No other world leaders or royals would be caught doing that," another one wrote.

As of this writing, Justin Trudeau's office has not publicly addressed the negative comments the prime minister has been receiving.

Queen Elizabeth II Laid to Rest

After more than a week of mourning, the Queen has finally been laid to rest along with her late husband Prince Philip, who died last year, at the King George VI Memorial Chapel at Windsor Castle.

As the queen was buried, the Royal Family's official social media accounts released a never-before-seen photo of Her Majesty walking on moorland. (via The Guardian)

The monarch, who appeared to be younger in the photo, can be seen wearing a pair of sunglasses and a headscarf as she walks using a stick.
