Many fans were saddened when Mick Mars announced that he would be retiring from performing with Motley Crue on their upcoming tours due to his health condition, but many supporters were also thrilled as they're looking forward to seeing John 5 fill his spot.
Recently, lead bassist Nikki Sixx explained the reason why the guitarist is the perfect replacement for Mars as he "checks all the boxes" for the famed metal group.
The musician recently took to his official Twitter account to host a Q&A session with his fans, writing "Any burning questions? #AskSixx."

Online users immediately bombarded his post as they started asking him different questions about his career and Motley Crue as a whole.
One of the followers asked him what made the band decide to choose John 5 as Mick Mars' replacement, adding, "He's an incredible musician, but what made him the right guy for Motley?"
Sixx responded, saying the guitarist "checks all the boxes" as he's an "insane player," has respect for the legendary group's music, has a good sense of humor and "has history with us and we've written pretty big hits together."
John 5's History With Möthey Crüe
According to The Rock of Rochester, John 5 has an incredible history with the band as he co-wrote a few songs for their movie "The Dirt."
Some of the tracks he wrote for Motley Crue include "Ride with the Devil," "Crash and Burn," and many more.
In addition, Nikki Sixx has also been his friend for a long time now and they've collaborated on several projects together.
In a previous interview with Outburn, the guitarist said Sixx is one of the most inspiring people he met and he considers him as a best friend.
Mick Mars Retiring From Mötley Crüe After 4 Decades
In early reports, many fans have been speculating for Mick Mars' retirement over the past few years, and his representatives finally confirmed the news last week.
A spokesperson for the musician spoke to Variety, confirming that the legendary guitarist will no longer be a part of the band's shows in the future.
Despite retiring from touring, the statement assured fans that Mars would still be a part of the band.
The reason why he's taking a break is because of his ongoing health woe called Ankylosing Spondylitis, a condition that causes him to feel extreme pain.
