Sam Smith wants you will stay with you, at least for a few minutes this Sunday (Aug. 24). Today (Aug. 19), it was announced that he will be rounding out the lineup of performers at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards. The "Stay With Me" crooner joins the likes of Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj.

According to MTV, Smith is the final announced performer for the 30th annual VMAs. Usher, 5 Seconds of Summer, Rita Ora, Iggy Azalea and Maroon 5 join the previously mentioned performers and Smith in the all-star lineup.

DJ Mustard will be serving the award show as the house DJ.

Smith is likely to bring some Adele-level emotion to the VMAs. Though his exact song choice has not been announced, both his No. 2 single "Stay With Me" and his latest track from In The Lonely Hour, "I'm Not The Only One" play to those tear-jerking emotions.

Smith isn't just attending the VMAs as a live performer, he's also up for two Moonmen. "Stay With Me" is nominated for Best Male Music Video against Pharrell Williams' "Happy," John Legend's "All of Me," Ed Sheeran's "Sing" and Eminem's "The Monster." Meanwhile, Smith is also up for the MTV Artist to Watch Award against Charli XCX, 5 Seconds of Summer, Schoolboy Q, and Fifth Harmony.

The 2014 MTV VMAs will take place this Sunday, Aug. 24, in Inglewood, California, at the legendary Forum. They will air live at 9 p.m. on MTV.
