Are Bon Jovi and guitarist Richie Sambora finally reuniting?

Richie Sambora's return to Jon Bon Jovi-led band has been a long time coming. The guitarist left the band in 2013, but he never revealed that the reason was his daughter, Ava, until a few years have already passed. He initially said that his decision was due to "personal reasons."

In the past years, he and the band have been sparking rumors about a potential reunion. A decade after his departure, the guitarist formally gave fans hope by revealing that he might rejoin his former bandmates soon.

In an interview with Absolute Radio, Sambora said they are a few inches away from reuniting.

"We're talking about it," he said. "I don't think there's any reason not to at this point."

His statement resonated with what he told Metro in November, telling the news outlet that they were talking about him joining Bon Jovi at the Glastonbury festival.

Sambora took steps backward in 2013 due to the psychological maintenance of his family. He told People that family had to come first, and he knew his daughter needed him at that time.

Meanwhile, his former bandmates - especially Jon Bon Jovi - spoke about the heartbreak they endured after Sambora's departure. The singer, however, told The Times that time healed all kinds of disappointments they faced.

Richie Sambora's Relationship With Bon Jovi Members

Elsewhere in the interview, Sambora opened up about his relationship with his former bandmates. Per the guitarist, their connection remains the same and that he still has a good relationship with them.

"You know what, there's no malice," he said. "I mean, we did something ... there's not a lot of bands that did what we did. I mean, obviously, bands like the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and U2."

Aside from the potential reunion with Bon Jovi, he also shared details about his upcoming album.

Richie Sambora's solo album, which he worked on with producer Bob Rock, will reportedly be released at the end of March or the beginning of April. He hyped fans by saying that the rock record has good songs in it.

The guitarist already has a number of albums under his belt which he created with several bands and artists, including Message, Cher, Desmond Child, and RSO. Among the music projects include "Slippery When Wet," "New Jersey," "Lessons," "Bounce," "Cher," "Making History," "Discipline," "Have a Nice Day," "The Circle," and "What About Now."
