Rihanna's Super Bowl performance achieved another milestone almost three months after it aired worldwide. Her big musical comeback came after being nominated for a Golden Globe and an Academy Award. Still, the performance did something bigger than that - she used it to announce her second pregnancy!

Rihanna's Super Bowl performance surpassed the record for being the most-watched performance of all time, surpassing some well-loved performances like Shakira's, Katy Perry's, and even Beyonce's.

Rihanna Super Bowl Performance The Most-Watched Performance Ever?

According to Nielsen, as reported by Billboard, Rihanna's Super Bowl performance is now officially the most-watched Super Bowl performance to date.

Turns out, it racked up over 121.07 million viewers on the day it aired on Fox Network. The Associated Press reported that Nielsen updated their ratings for the February 12 broadcast.

Initially, it only had 118.7 million viewers, but because of the "encoding irregularities" and "out-of-home" measurements, Rihanna's Super Bowl Performance was bumped up to nearly 3 million more viewers.

It surpassed Katy Perry's iconic 2015 show, which amassed only 121 million viewers. However, it is important to note that Rihanna has yet to best Shakira and JLO's Super Bowl Performance when streaming on YouTube.

Based on YouTube views, JLO and Shakira's 2020 performance has been watched more than 232 million times on the video-streaming platform.
