It's been a long time since Darius Rucker released an album and fans are in for a treat this year as his next project will be dropping soon. As a bonus, he would also go on tour in the next few months; check out all the details below.
According to the Orange County Register, the country musician's new album titled "Carolyn's Boy" will be available for purchase and streaming on major music platforms like Spotify and Apple Music starting on October 6, 2023.
This would be the follow-up to his 2017 album titled "When Was the Last Time" which featured some of his biggest hits like "For the First Time" and many more.
In a recent interview with the outlet, Rucker said he hasn't had a record out in a long time and it feels good to have new music for his fans to hear.
"Something about this era for me just feels different, it feels special. I mean it always feels special when you put out a new record, but this one is close to home," he said.
Darius Rucker New Album 2023 Meaning
Speaking about the meaning of his latest project, the musician said the album's title is significant for him as it was dedicated to his late mother named Carolyn.
Recalling how his mom helped him throughout his life, Rucker said his mother was the one who guide him in his music career.

The album will revolve around emotional songs that aims to praise his mom. It would also have tracks that deals with his true feelings after Carolyn's death.
The first single of his new album "Fires Don't Start Themselves" has been released earlier this year.
