Taylor Swift came into the 2023 MTV Video Music Award and took almost every moonperson she was nominated for!

Swift's recent accomplishment was historic as she became the first artist in history to have won Video of the Year four times.

Taylor Swift was the most nominated artist of the night at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards with eleven nominations. This included Video of the Year, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, Best Pop, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Show of the Summer, Song of Summer, Best Visual Effects, and Best Editing.

Last night, she took home six awards for "Anti-Hero" - Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop, Best Direction, Best Visual Effects, and Best Cinematography. (via Variety)

She was deemed the Artist of the Year, as The Eras Tour was crowned the Show of the Summer, and "Midnights" won Album of the Year.

Because of this feat, Swift has now become the first artist in the history of the show to have won Video of the Year four multiple times. She first won it on "All Too Well," "Bad Blood," "You Need To Calm Down," and now, "Anti-Hero."

Taylor Swift VMA Awards

Swift is now the second artist who had the most wins on a single night as she took hoome nine moonpersons this year. She was one moonperson away from Peter Gabriel in 1987 who took home 10, including the Video Vanguard Award.

She is then tied at third with multiple artists who have won multiple awards for a single video, including Beyonce's "Formation," Kendrick Lamar's "Fumble," A-Ha's "Take On Me," REM's "Losing My Religion," Greenday's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," The Smashing Pumpkins' "Tonight, Tonight," and Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice" - all with six awards.

Overall, she places second under Beyonce as the most-awarded artist in VMA history. Beyonce has a total of 25 moonpersons, while Taylor Swift has 23, as of this writing.

I'm blown away."
