This year marks the 40th anniversary of Jon Bon Jovi's iconic band, but hopes for a reunion with guitarist Richie Sambora are still being determined.

Although they appear to be on good terms, rumors have suggested that Richie has requested Jon to bridge the gap between them to reunite - however, so far, no progress has been made.

Rumors have been floating around that the duo had a part in the television documentary, but a concert tour appears to be up in the air.

Reaching the incredible milestone of five decades together, 64-year-old Richie desires to commemorate the New Jersey act's celebrated history with a show.

When someone proposed he use the doc to bring them all back together again, Richie responded: "Tell him that."

Richie recently revealed that conversations about a reunion have been ongoing, with Jon being less than enthusiastic about allowing his former "songwriting brother" back in.

He stated: "There is some chatter going on, and I took part in a documentary about the band."

At the Breeders' Cup in Arcadia, California, Richie was satisfied when discussing his rock band's accomplishments. "We wrote some tunes that impacted people," he said. "So, why not get back together for the 40th anniversary? It could happen right now!"

Though they were once as close as brothers, time and different paths have strained the relationship between Richie and Jon.

Bon Jovi Reunion

A source from the music industry has expressed doubt that they will be able to patch things up enough for a tour together.

The insider, who is acquainted with the band through working in marketing agencies, told The Mirror: "While in the 80s and 90s, there was always an unbreakable bond between them, things have changed since then. The group has gone on without Richie, and communication between them isn't what it used to be."

Richie has made it known that he would like to return and attempt to relive the glory days of their partnership.

However, Jon remains resistant even though Richie enjoys encouragement from those close to him. If anything is going to change, a heart-to-heart between them is essential - and yet this has not occurred just yet.

According to the outlet, from a financial point of view, those associated with Jon know that a reunion would likely draw global attention, be welcomed by followers, and result in hundreds of millions in earnings.

High rollers in Las Vegas are buzzing with the possibility that Jon Bon Jovi might be the next big star to take the stage at The Sphere.

Currently, U2 is the only artist confirmed to perform at the cutting-edge venue. However there has been some contact between management and Jon about a possible engagement.

Having worked shows in NYC for many years, Jon and his bandmates are familiar with the team behind The Sphere. There is a mutual appreciation between the two parties, leading to conversations about whether playing there will be feasible.

Although they have always been hesitant to consider Vegas options, an opportunity has arisen that would permit them more opportunities to create something unique.

Ultimately, however, it all comes down to how much profit can be made, per The Mirror.
