For the first time in years, Noel Gallagher watched movies in succession- and yet did not find the whole experience relaxing. In fact, he expressed some views that made fans think he got more stressed by going to the theaters.

He shared that by making fun of a "sea" of "drunk fat birds" wearing pink costumes during a "Barbie" showing, he was able to strengthen his bond with his sons.

The 56-year-old former rock star of Oasis, who announced his divorce from 52-year-old Sara MacDonald in January, is the father of two boys, Donovan, 16, and Sonny, 13, who he shares with her.

He also has a 23-year-old daughter named Anaïs from his previous marriage to Meg Mathews, 57.

During a recent trip to the movies with his boys, he told his friend Matt Morgan on his podcast about seeing the "Barbie" viewers and the dislike he shared with his son for them.

"In a real moment with my two sons, we were at the cinema in Portsmouth, and there were a few people hovering for photographs.

"And as we were stood milling round they were kicking out 'Barbie', the 7 o'clock showing of Barbie.

"And as this sea of middle-aged women and girls in pink came flooding through the forecourt we just looked at each other and went, 'Good God'.

"And it was a real bonding moment. And I could see Donovan going, 'For (God's) sake'... there was drunk fat birds in pink cowboy hats."

He added that when he went to see "Oppenheimer," the film's sex scenes had startled him.

"I saw 'Oppenheimer'. There was a bit of gratuitous (sex) in it - there was no need for it.

"There were just naked birds. It was like, 'Oh, Oppenheimer never had sex!'

After his divorce, Noel claimed he has only lately returned to the movies, adding that "The Wolf of Wall Street" (2013) was the last movie he saw on a big screen before "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer."

"The Wolf of Wall Street may have been the last movie I saw because everything that's on at the theater is a lot of (rubbish)," he continued.

Noel also expressed his dislike for the most recent "Indiana Jones" movie, criticizing Harrison Ford's 81-year-old age in the process.

Noel Gallagher is indeed just being Noel Gallagher - ever fortright and having no filter with his words.

Last year, Gallagher has admitted that he has trouble remembering the lyrics to some of the hits he and his younger brother Liam wrote. At 56, Gallagher acknowledged he would eventually need to use a teleprompter and attributed his forgetfulness on stage to the "ongoing march of time."
