    For the third year in a row, music site Songkick has compiled a list of the "19 hardest working bands" in show business. The list takes two factors into consideration: the performers' total number of shows played, combined with the total distance travelled to play those shows. This year's winner was Local Natives: The rock band played a total of 188 shows (more than any other act on the list), while traveling around 192,486 km.

    The hot new protest movement among musicians, and folks in general, is against the captivity of killer whales at marine theme parks such as Sea World, and several acts have jumped onboard in recent weeks. The Barenaked Ladies and Heart both cancelled shows at SeaWorld Orlando. Willie Nelson also cancelled his event at the venue, and although he cited scheduling conflicts as part of the decision, he added "what they do at Sea World is not OK."

    Willie Nelson's doctor told him that he should take time off from his touring schedule in order to rest up his injured shoulder, but he just couldn't wait to get on the road again. It was announced yesterday that Nelson was pulling out of four dates to rest his shoulder, but the country star's spokesperson told Country Music Television that Nelson would play his previously scheduled appearance at Nashville's Southern Ground Music & Food Festival after all.
