• Julian Jordan, Mike Hawkins Follow Martin Garrix To Leave Spinnin Records

    Martin Garrix appears to be setting a worrying trend for his former label Spinnin' Records. Two other artists signed to the label and its management arm MusicAllStars Management have announced that they are also leaving. Dutchman and close friend of Martin Garrix, Julian Jordan is one of those to leave and Megaton Records founder Mike Hawkins is the second.

    The very, almost too public saga fight between Martin Garrix, Spinnin' Records and its artist management arm MusicAllStars Management has another chapter. After some chatter over the summer and into the winter, where it appeared as though the matter over the rights to the "Poison" DJ's music was being settled amicably, the suit turned for the worst when Spinnin' presented their side of the story just before the New Year. Now Garrix is coming back with yet another statement, calling the recent remarks by Spinnin' "to say the least - one sided and in any case incorrect in some respects."

However in a new statement released by Spinnin' it appears there are still some serious differences between the two sides and their views on the contracts signed by the two parties.

    Dutch dance music label Spinnin' Records has become one of the largest independent electronic labels in the world and has used its growing influence to help define trends within the genre. It is the label home for DJs like Martin Garrix, Oliver Heldens, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, DVBBS, R3hab, Nervo and more. It is the parent label for Sander van Doorn's Doorn Records, Afrojack's Wall Recordings, Tiësto's Musical Freedom and Showtek's Skint Records, in addition its own specialized sub-labels. The record label has released its 2015 outlook in a 73-minute mix that features 34 unreleased songs from various artists on its roster. Each song is given about a two-minute preview and maybe half have the artists or track names confirmed. The rest are IDs and just rumored titles at this point, including some of Garrix's unreleased tracks, but have some level of logic to them.
