French streaming service Deezer has announced the global expansion of the hi-fidelity audio portion of its service, Elite. Deezer Elite was launched in the United States in September 2014 but is now global so you can access Deezer. Deezer has partnered with Sonos to bring customers the product, so that means one can only listen to the service's 35-million-strong library through a Sonos brand of speaker. -

Last year, Diplo created a Kickstarter to "Get Taylor Swift A Booty." Although some were amused by the mean-spirited fundraiser, Lorde called the DJ out for it. Fortunately that didn't end his friendship with the "Yellow Flicker Beat" singer; however, it did incite an army of Tayor Swift fans to lash out at him online. In a new interview with British GQ Style (via MTV) he said that he regrets the day he ever messed with the "Style" singer and compared the Swifties to the army of North Korea. -

Tower Records Documentary 'All Things Must Pass' Features Dave Grohl, Elton John and David Geffen
There seems to be a resurgence in independent record stores nowadays as chain retailers continue to fold. Tower Records was one of the biggest music chains around from 1960 to 2000, and many famous musicians have an attachment to the store. Actor Colin Hanks began working on a documentary about Tower Records in 2008, two years after it declared bankruptcy. The documentary 'All Things Must Pass' debuted at South by Southwest this week. The director talked about the film, which took so long to make because of funding issues, prior to a screening. He mentioned two big music names -- Elton John and Dave Grohl -- as supporters of the record store, 'Billboard' noted. Slash also appeared in the film. -

The trippy, ocean-inspired clip shows the rock quintet recording their 10-track seventh studio album at their sprawling Panoramic House studio at Northern California's Stinson Beach, ending on a long pan over the album's majestic cover art. It also features previews of five new tracks: "Spring (Among the Living)," "Big Decisions," "Compound Fracture," "Believe (Nobody Knows)," and "Get the Point." -

Adele's '21' recently dethroned Amy Winehouse's 'Back to Black' for the title of Biggest Selling Artist Album of the Millennium in the United Kingdom. The singer's bestseller LP has sold almost 5 million copies overseas since its 2011 release. 'Billboard' pointed out that the Official Charts Company released a report today, March 19, that includes the revised list of bestsellers in the U.K.
