Orlando-based singer-songwriter Matthew Fowler recently released his debut album, Beginning, which he began writing as a teenager and recorded live in his family's kitchen. His journey as a musician started at age 14, when he got a Yamaha acoustic guitar (which he still plays) for his birthday and became hooked on writing songs. When time came to look at colleges, Fowler decided to forgo university life to focus on writing Beginning. He taught himself how to use recording equipment, rallied a group of musician friends and got to work. -

The unassuming U.K. singer emerged with four awards -- Best Pop Vocal Album, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist -- while also performing his hit "Stay With Me" onstage with Mary J. Blige. In terms of writing a follow-up to "In the Lonely Hour," he said he needs to "kiss more boys" before doing so. -

Beck, along with most people watching the 2015 Grammys, thought Beyoncé should have won Album of the Year for her self-titled release. Kanye West took the questionable route of jumping onstage during Beck's acceptance, but the "Morning Phase" singer was perfectly fine with it. West continued to be critical of the choice and Beck after the show, but the alternative singer-songwriter told E! that he understands the rapper's frustrations.
