• Jenny McCarthy Tells Howard Stern That She Passed on Offer to Return to 'The View'

    While we have been hearing all sorts of rumors of chaos behind the scenes at ABC's The View and various names being floated as possible new co hosts for the round table chatfest, nothing has been solid. Supposedly the network loves Raven-Symone and were thrilled with her recent stint as a fill-in host. Mario Cantone is also a frequent guest that could feasibly be promoted to a regular member of the panel but when asked about the possibility he always seems a bit skittish. One person that won't be returning to the fold is Jenny McCarthy.

    The only thing sadder than the untimely death by suicide of Robin Williams last summer might be the fact that his family is now battling over his estate. Supposedly, Williams laid out specific instructions about how things were to be divided up, but his widow Susan Schneider and three children Zak, Zelda and Cody are at distinct odds. Last December, Schneider filled court documents alleging that the children removed things from her home without permission. They then responded to that filing saying that they were simply following their father's wishes. They are still battling in court over his estate.

Today (March 30), The Killers frontman debuted the visual for the song, and with some help from Evan Rachel Wood and the short story Young Goodman Brown, we get a tale of Satanic rituals, Puritan villages and a wife who may or may not be who she claims to be.

    Fast-rising Patterson, New Jersey, rapper Fetty Wap, Brooklyn-based trap producer Baauer and fellow New York producer Dubbel Dutch made a track together titled "Promises" that has been captured step-by-step by Adidas and Yours Truly as part of their "Songs from Scratch" series. The process is captured in a short, 3 1/2-minute video and a long piece that describes how the concept for the collaboration was hatched and shows the creative process for each artist in making this track.

    DJ equipment and software manufacturer Native Instruments has announced one of its most ambitious projects yet: Stems. The new audio file format is designed for DJs and live performers because it can split up a song into four different tracks: the bass, drums, melody and vocals. These "stems" give the performer more flexibility when playing live as they have many more options when playing music with the combinations available to given to them. It allows them to remix on the fly. Officially announced March 27 during the Winter Music Conference, the new audio-format has already seen support from the likes of Luciano, DJ Craaze, and MK; retailers Beatport, Juno and Traxsource; and labels Cr2 Records, Noir Music, Toolroom and others.
