• Kevin Gates Announces "I Don't Get Tired Tour" for February, March [FULL SCHEDULE]

    Louisiana rapper Kevin Gates has announced his "I Don't Get Tired Tour," which will take him across the South and the Midwest in February and March. According to Hip-Hop DX, the tour kicks off on Feb. 20 in Montgomery, Alabama and will hit 19 cities, finishing up on March 15 in Shreveport, Louisiana. However, the itinerary claims that Gates will be performing two shows in two separate Louisiana cities on March 14, so either this is a typo or Gates is just really committed to his whole "I Don't Get Tired" act.

    Ultra Music Festival is taking a deep dive underground in 2015. Traditionally it has reserved a stage for the old-school house and techno styles of electronic music for Carl Cox and his curated stage, with a smattering of other names across other stages away from the main stage. In 2015, Ultra is making a serious commitment to the underground, giving it two stages, Resistance and Carl Cox and Friends, which has not announced its lineup yet, but he will have to find some names outside those on the Resistance lineup.

    Tom DeLonge's split from Blink-182 is just getting messier and messier. Yesterday (Jan. 26), news broke that the singer/guitarist had left the band when Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus sent out a press release. However, DeLonge later countered that on Instagram, calling the release "weird." But now, in a new interview with Rolling Stone, Barker and Hoppus opened up about the inner workings of Blink-182, saying that yes, DeLonge is on an indefinite hiatus from the pop-punk trio.

  • Grateful Dead Fans Flood U.S. Postal Service with Pre-Sale Ticket Requests

    The Grateful Dead has some of the most passionate fans in music history. Pre-sales for the jam band's Fourth of July Reunion show with Trey Anastasio overwhelmed the group's camp since opening Jan. 20. Dead 50 reports that more than 60,000 envelopes with ticket requests were received. Relix estimates that those envelopes contain over 350,000 ticket requests for the three-night residency at Chicago's Soldier Field.

What has been dubbed by some as "Localchella," artists like FKA Twigs, Action Bronson, Madeon, Interpol, Belle & Sebastien and many others will be appearing at this year's sideshows.

Keef hands over the production work to Chopsquad DJ, who drapes the song in some laughably cheap synth strings and piano, which sound like they could have been used for the soundtrack to a late '90s computer game. Keef gives us some of his typically incomprehensible auto-tuned mumbling about hiding money or something.

Louisville, Kentucky based festival, Forecastle, has released the first wave of artists who will be performing this summer. Louisville's own My Morning Jacket, in addition to Modest Mouse, Sam Smith and Widespread Panic, will headline the Kentucky festival.

    Blake Shelton showed off his acting chops over the weekend as host and musical guest of Saturday Night Live, and now, he's making his move into film. According to The Wrap, the country music star and Voice coach has been cast in Adam Sandler's upcoming film Ridiculous 6, a Happy Madison production that marks Sandler's first film under his new deal with Netflix.

  • Sam Smith Calls Tom Petty 'Stay With Me' Drama 'Coincidence': 'I Won't Back Down' Singer Not Eligible for Grammy

    Two more co-writers have been given credit for one of 2014's biggest hits, "Stay With Me." Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne, of Electric Light Orchestra, were added to the list of song creators after similarities were spotted between the Sam Smith ballad and "I Won't Back Down." Representatives for the young singer admitted to hearing similarities, but they want to make it clear that it is all just a big coincidence, "Rolling Stone" noted. Furthermore, Petty is not eligible for a Grammy.
