Under the continuing wave of butt that have made headlines in recent weeks, including Kim Kardashian's "art" installation in Paper magazine, the folks at ABC are a tad worried what might happen when Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea take the stage Sunday for a live performance of the former's hit "Booty."

  • Benzino Fired from 'Love & Hip Hop Atlanta' for Reportedly Making Death Threats Against Stevie J, Joseline Hernandez

Fans of "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" were surprised recently to learn that Benzino and his love, Althea Eaton, were handed their walking papers from VH1's hit show. The firing came after a reunion show taping that turned violent when the always iffy Joseline Hernandez went nuclear on Zino and punched Eaton before taking extra shots at a few other cast members as well. Eventually, Hernandez and her man Stevie J were escorted from the building and the rest of the cast continued on, mainly discussing what addicts the two are. At the time it looked likely that they would be fired, as everyone was in complete agreement about how crazy violent Hernandez had become. Instead, Benzino and Eaton were canned and it is reportedly his fault.According to a new report by TMZ, Stevie J went to the producers and claimed that Zino had started a smear campaign that ultimately turned into flat-out death threats against himself and Hernandez. Stevie J is insisting that it was those threats that actually got Zino and Eaton fired because they were far worse than Hernandez's messiness and violent tendencies. Zino has yet to clap back and comment, but it is coming because he does like to take his gripes with anything related to "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" straight to Twitter.
  • REVIEW: Bulgarian Soprano Sonya Yoncheva Debuts Memorable Mimì in Middling 'La Bohème' at Metropolitan Opera

Recently, the Metropolitan Opera has made headlines for all the wrong reasons. Be it pre-season labor disputes with the man Peter Gelb, opening night unrest care of Leon Klinghoffer and Rudy Guiliani or just a simple technical glitch during the broadcast at your local cinema, what's been lost as of late is a lot. Such controversies, however inflated, do obscure the institution's real mission statement. First and perhaps foremost, is the fact that the Met remains this country's most enduring repertory company. For every Klinghoffer or Iolanta premiere in 2014-15, there are as many, if not more, reheated Aidas and prefab Meistersingers. Come the holidays, highly touted new productions of Le Nozze di Figaro and The Merry Widow will run alongside evergreen faire like Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Hansel and Gretel. And, let's be honest, it is the latter, lighter of these programming options that the casual opera-goer is wont to experience there at Lincoln Center. In fact, Mr. Gelb is banking on it.
  • Shady Records to Drop a 66-Track Mixtape After 'Shady XV' Disc, Will Include Yelawolf, Slaughterhouse, 50 Cent [LISTEN]

It looks like Eminem and his crew are going all-out for the 15th anniversary of Shady Records. They've already been promoting a two-CD compilation, "Shady XV," which hits retailers Nov. 24. Now it sounds like the rest of the tracks they couldn't fit on "Shady XV" will be included on a massive mixtape featuring 66 songs."You guys gave me 130 records," DJ Whoo Kid said on RapRadar, speaking about Shady's co-founder, Paul Rosenberg. "Physically, you can't fit all of them on 80-minute CDs, so we had to do a double disc."The project, which has yet to be titled, will run a whopping three hours. As MTV News notes, it sounds like the mixtape will be all old stuff."Just as a fan, you go back and you listen to some of the posse records, and the freestyles, and the remixes, crazy shit," Rosenberg said. "I forgot about all that stuff. And going back and listening to it, it brings back memories. So we did a two-CD thing."We figured since there's so many people that are gonna be saying, 'Ah, why didn't this song make it [on the album]? Why didn't that song make it?' We'll just do something to please everybody."Some artists to look out for include Em, Yelawolf, Slaughterhouse and 50 Cent. Rosenberg did not reveal a tracklist, but he did revisit "I Get Money (Remix)" and Slim Shady's version of "Wanksta."
