Amber Vinson has endured a tough few months. Back in late September, she was one of a team of nurses in Texas who took care of Thomas Eric Duncan, the first confirmed Ebola patient in the U.S. Vinson quickly became known as the second nurse from the hospital to become infected with the virus, in part because the staff had not been properly trained to care for Ebola patients. She also was hit with tons of backlash after she had been cleared to fly home to Cleveland to plan her wedding, but then the CDC tried to say she should never have been on a plane. It was not until recently that Vinson was able to give a real interview, telling her side after weeks of negativity being thrown at her from complete strangers. Basically, what was supposed to be a happy time in her life has been turned upside down. As it turns out, after her apartment was turned upside down by the CDC during decontamination, even her engagement ring from fiance Derrek Markray had been destroyed."I took off all my jewelry, thinking that my jewelry would be safer at home than in the hospital, and when the decontamination team came in, everything that was on the surface was swiped into a bin for incineration. My jewelry box being on my nightstand was one of those things that got destroyed," explained Vinson in a recent interview. What came next for the nurse was pretty amazing, as Zales reached out to her after hearing that her ring had been destroyed and offered her a replacement for free. -
Faith No More Shares 'Motherf---ker,' Menacing First Single in 16 Years from Upcoming Album [LISTEN]
Faith No More is back with its first single since the late 1990s, and the boys sound like they are ready to reclaim their right rightful spot atop the alt-metal world. The new song, which they premiered live over the summer, is titled "Motherf--ker" — if you are going to come back from a 17-year recording hiatus, why not make the first single radio unfriendly? The track, off their upcoming seventh album, is menacing as it builds to Mike Patton's signature howl."We took the second sip from a cup we made of bones," he sings. "The first it was a ruse, a trick so aptly thrown / The truth is that our youth was a carpet laid of stones / Get the motherf--ker on the phone, the phone.""It feels apt that the first track we're releasing is 'Motherf--ker,' a song about accountability," keyboardist Roddy Bottum said in a statement. "Basically we've created, recorded and mixed a new body of work by ourselves and we're releasing it on our own label. It's a huge deal for us to only have ourselves to answer to at this point in our career and the song is about that, where the buck stops via the basic imagery of foie gras production, bondage ... y'know, stuff like that."The single will also be available as a 7-inch vinyl for Record Store Day Nov. 28. -

Lorde Says Nicki Minaj Almost Contributed to 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' Soundtrack
Lorde's highly anticipated soundtrack for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" was released earlier this week to much excitement. With the film premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, Nov. 21, the New Zealand songstress can take some time to look back on the whole process, like she did in a recent interview with "The FADER." Although the album features a slew of big names, Lorde did not get every artist she wanted ... like Nicki Minaj."When I first approached the project, I thought I would chose 15 artists and they'd be the 15 artists I was with three months later," she said. "But obviously, it evolved like crazy."According to Lorde, whatever Minaj was going to do for the album was going to be "amazing," but the "Anaconda" singer was too busy with her next album, "The Pink Print," to contribute. But the "Royals" singer was nothing but supportive."... I'm happy we're going to get a new Nicki Minaj album to listen to at the gym for six months," she added. -

The Trevor Kane-directed clip casts El-P and Killer Mike as EMTs during a nightshift down in Mike's hometown of Atlanta, though they appear to be much better at rapping than saving people's lives (they even go so far as to flip off an old man who's clearly having a heart attack). André 3000's 2014 Outkast Reunion Tour Jumpsuits To Be Featured In Art Exhibit Called 'i feel ya' [SLIDESHOW]
André 3000 performed in jumpsuits with script on them as well as a "sold out" tag during Outkast's 2014 reunion tour. The words he wore asked fans big questions such as, "across cultures, darker people suffer most. why?" "art or fart?" "have you stopped growing?" and Mike Brown-inspired "can one rest in peace & violence?" Some suits didn't ask questions but rather just made statements such as "thinking deeply about shallow sh*t," "everything is temporary," and "I forgive you, now your turn." Now fans can immerse themselves in his message at a new art exhibit (not a fart exhibit, in this case). As Pitchfork reports, André 3000 and the Savannah College of Art and Design in Miami have teamed up for an exhibition called i feel ya: SCAD + André 3000 Benjamin. The exhibit will run from Dec. 23 through Dec. 14 at Miami's Mana Miami and will display all 47 of the rapper's jumpsuits.
