Heavy metal legends Motörhead will be setting off on their Motörboat music cruise on Sept. 22, but today, one of the cruise's headlining acts announced that they have dropped out. Billboard reports that thrash legends Megadeth have been forced to cancel their appearance on the Motorböat cruise due to frontman Dave Mustaine's recent back surgery, which will require him to rest for the next eight weeks. -

The Kinks To Release 50th Anniversary Box Set 'The Anthology 1964-1971' In November
50 years ago today, Sept. 10, the Kinks scored their first number one single, "You Really Got Me." In celebration of this anniversary, the Kinks have announced that they will be releasing a five-disc box spanning their '60s-early '70s peak, NME reports. The Anthology 1964-1971 will compile the legendary band's best-loved songs, alongside 25 previously unreleased tracks including demos, outtakes, alternate mixes, and interviews. -

On last night's (Sept. 9) episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, legendary alternative rock band the Replacements made their first television appearance in over 25 years, performing their classic song "Alex Chilton" from their 1987 album Pleased To Meet Me. It's also the band's first time back to 30 Rockefeller Plaza after being banned from Saturday Night Live after a characteristically drunk and sloppy performance on that show back in 1986.
