  • Animated Tom Waits Video To Be Restored For 35th Anniversary

    To honor the film's 35th anniversary, John Lamb will launch a Kickstarter campaign to restore the video. For an exhibition to be held in Los Angeles in March, the money raised will go toward the transfer of "the original live action footage of Tom Waits and the video pencil test to a contemporary format to be projected throughout the gallery; restoration and framing of original animation cels for display; and restoration of the Lyon Lamb Video Rotoscope used in the film's production."

    British R&B singer Sam Smith has shared a remix of his latest single "I'm Not The Only One" on his Soundcloud page, which you can check out below. The remix features two new verses from Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky, who opens up the song with some references to Sasha Fierce, a.k.a. Beyoncé. Though a rap verse wouldn't seem like a natural fit with the song's retro atmosphere, A$AP pulls it off very nicely with his impressive flow.

    The introduction of the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and the iWatch wasn't the only major news coming out of Apple's big live stream announcement today (Sept. 9), there's also a new U2 album. At the closing of the Apple event, U2 performed a new single, announced a new album and simultaneously released the LP, titled Songs of Innocence, to every iTunes user for free. iTunes users can now go into their music library and listen to the new 11-song album now.
