  • MTV VMAs 2014: 10 Categories And Nominees That Should Exist, Featuring Michael Jackson, Miley Cyrus, And More

    Today MTV announced the nominees for this year's Video Music Awards. There are 16 categories in total, but here at Music Times, we think they could stand to add a few more. Here are some VMA categories that should exist.

    Tyler Farr's "Whiskey In My Water" music video has officially passed over 3.5 million YouTube views and as great as the video is, seeing him perform the hit song live and in person is even better. Between now and November, the singer will be on the Burn It Down tour with Florida Georgia Line, but he'll also be performing dates with other country superstars as well as solo dates at fairs.

    Consequence of Sound reports that new wave legends Television and Devo will be opening for Arcade Fire on some upcoming dates of their Reflektor tour. Devo will open on July 30 in Mountain View, California, and again in Chicago on August 26 and 27. The New York-based Television will open at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on August 24.
