  • Pearl Jam Unveils Short Film on 'Lightning Bolt' Featuring Judd Apatow and Carrie Brownstein

    Lightning Bolt comes out in a few weeks, so to promote the record, Pearl Jam has released a short documentary about how the record came to be. Directed by Danny Clinch (Immagine In Cornice), the film shows footage of the Seattle group performing new material, jamming out in cars, surfing, and answering questions from their guest interviewers, which include Judd Apatow, Carrie Brownstein (Portlandia, Wild Flag), Former NLF star Steve Gleason (who is battling ALS), and hall-of-fame Australian surfer Mark Richards.

    The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has been one of this year's most anticipated films, and its soundtrack is loaded with talent, too. According to Rolling Stone, Coldplay, Of Monsters and Men, The National, Christina Aguilera, The Weeknd, Lorde, Ellie Goulding, Patti Smith, and more will be featured on the film' series' second installment.

    Thom Yorke (Radiohead) and Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers) from and Atoms for Peace stopped by The Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night to promote their world tour and make their television debut. The band, which also includes Nigel Godrich (Radiohead), Joey Waronker (Beck, R.E.M.) and Mauro Refosco (For in the Dark), released its debut album, Amok, back in February.

    MTV premiered the trailer for the Ke$ha docuseries, 'My Crazy Beautiful Life' today. It looks like the second season of the hit show will highlight the party girl's family. Judging from the trailer, it is easy to see where the singer gets her antics - her family is just as ridiculous as she is.
  • Haim Covers Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball on BBC Radio 1 [WATCH]

    The Haim news continues today as the indie sisters stopped by BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge to perform a cover of Miley Cyrus' recording-breaking pop hit "Wrecking Ball." The band's upcoming album Days Are Gone will be released Sept. 30, but it is currently streaming for free on NPR.
