Despite frontman Mick Jagger's recent fiasco with L'Wren Scott's sister, in which she called him "grotesquely disrespectful," the Rolling Stones have continued their tour with much praise. Last night, the band was in Rome and welcomed in a special guest for a performance of "Respectable" –– another headline-maker, John Mayer.

The performance isn't the first time the two have collaborated. Mayer lent his near-flawless musical abilities back in 2012 when the Stones were celebrating their 50th anniversary tour.

During the song, each guitarist onstage took their turns churning out some killer guitar solos. And while the show was undoubtedly a Stones event, it seems the controversial guitarist had no problem keeping his own onstage, despite being alongside a group of his heroes.

Mayer is currently touring for his latest album, Paradise Valley. Check out the video of the "Respectable" performance below:

Also showing up during the show was former Rolling Stone member Mick Taylor. He joined for "Streets of Love" off the Stones' A Bigger Bang 2005 album and stuck around for "Midnight Rambler."
