• 2015 MTV VMAs Ratings Down 3 Million Viewers from 2014

    The 2015 MTV VMAs may have enlisted a superstar host in Miley Cyrus and some of summer's biggest music stars such as The Weeknd, Demi Lovato and Nicki Minaj for big performances, but the show still couldn't hold solid ratings. Today (Sept. 1), the numbers are out for the annual music award show, and there was a major dip in viewers from last year.

    When it comes music apps, there are few as ubiquitous as Shazam. Since its humble beginnings in 1999, the music identification service has grown into world renowned app with over one hundred million users and elevated itself to "unicorn" status as a private tech company with a $1 billion dollar valuation. However to achieve all of that, the company has been hemorrhaging money. According to its 2014 filings, Shazam reported an increase in revenue, but an even higher losses. Despite the bad news, its users and daily searches jumped a considerable amount.

    The Dead Weather said the band led by Jack White wouldn't be touring behind its upcoming release Dodge And Burn, but now it appears the band will break its five-year hiatus from the live stage to perform for the second week of Stephen Colbert's tenure as host of 'The Late Show.' That same week will feature a collaboration between Run the Jewels and TV on the Radio.
