As promised, St. Vincent (born Annie Clark) contributed a new song to the current season of her friend Lena Dunham's show GIRLS on HBO. The track, "Teenage Talk," played as the credits rolled on Episode 8, which aired last night. The song fits well with the sound she went for on her Grammy-winning self-titled effort, which makes sense seeing as it was one of the tracks left on the cutting room floor (until now). -

Kendrick Lamar finally announced the release date for his upcoming sophomore album on Friday evening by sharing a pre-order iTunes link that revealed the project would drop March 23 and that it would include 15 tracks in addition to "Blacker the Berry." His Grammy-winning single "i" was not included in the 16-song tracklist. However, K. Dot did not reveal the album's title or track names, and the album art was just a plain black square. -

Murder Conviction Brought for Killer of Wayne Mills, Influencer of Blake Shelton, Jamey Johnson and More Nashville Musicians
The man alleged of having murdered influential country performer Wayne Mills during a 2013 bar altercation in Nashville has been found guilty. According to Saving Country Music, the jury in the case deliberated for around two hours before finding Chris Ferrell, the owner of the bar where the incident occurred, guilty. Sentencing will take place on April 10. According to The Boot, he is looking at 15 to 25 years behind bars. -

Having already gotten the co-sign from Madonna herself on the track baring her name, one of the most celebrated tracks from Drake's 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late' just got chopped and screwed by Houston DJs OG Ron C and DJ Candlestick of The Chopstars. The new version is not just a slowed down rework of "Madonna": Drake also gave OG Ron C an exclusive, unreleased second verse which was not found on the original track. -

Future Music Festival Asia Cancelled as Expected when Singapore Refuses Licenses for Staging; Miscommunication to Blame?
The Future Music Festival at the Singapore Changi Exhibition Centre has been cancelled, less than a week before it was set to begin. Admittedly, most saw this development coming even as organizers Livescape insisted last week that they were dead-set on pushing forward with the event. Acts including Avicii, The Prodigy, Afrojack and Fatboy Slim will have their weekends freed up as a result.
