  • Will.i.am Shares Interactive 'The World Is Crazy' Music Video, Inspired By Current Events [WATCH]

Even though Will.i.am's song "The World Is Crazy" was released back in April 2013 on his most recent solo album #willpower, the song has finally been given a music video, though it's not quite your typical music video. The video stars Will.i.am as a news anchor reporting on all of the most important news stories of the moment, including the Sydney siege and the Taliban school massacre, but what sets this video apart is that it's interactive. When you click on one of the news stories scrolling across the bottom of the screen, you're taken to an article about the story, which will hopefully make you realize that there are more important and pressing matters in the world than listening to Will.i.am songs.

  • Bobby Shmurda And GS9 Crew Arrested In New York, Expected To Be Indicted

Brookyln rapper Bobby Shmurda has already had a few run-ins with the law this year, with both felonies and misdemeanors under his belt, but last night (Dec. 16), Mr. Shmurda capped off the year with one last arrest for an undisclosed reason. According to Wondering Sound, Shmurda (whose real name is Ackquille Pollard) was arrested at Manhattan's Quad Studios along with several members of his GS9 crew, and is expected to be indicted tomorrow, Dec. 18. Though the specific charges against Shmurda are at this time unknown, they are likely drug-related, as the story was confirmed to Wondering Sound by Kati Cornell, director of public information for New York's special narcotics prosecutor.
  • Charli XCX Performs 'Need Ur Luv' on 'Letterman' with Rostam Batmanglij [WATCH]

On last night's Dec. 16 episode of "The Late Show with David Letterman," Charli XCX dropped by to perform her glam-rock inspired track "Need Ur Luv" from her new album "Sucker," featuring Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij — the song's co-writer — on piano. Charli spends most of the performance singing and dancing from the top of Batmanglij's piano, offering quite a unique spin on what could have been just another typical late night performance. You can check out Charli XCX's performance of "Need Ur Luv" featuring Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij from "The Late Show with David Letterman" here — and notice how Letterman does not attempt to pronounce "Batmanglij":

  • Wiz Khalifa Samples Mac DeMarco For "Smoke Chambers" [LISTEN]

asdEven though he has no upcoming album or mixtape projects that we know about, Wiz Khalifa keeps dropping new songs, his latest being the exceptionally trippy and laidback "Smoke Chambers," which you can check out below. The song heavily samples fellow stoner Mac DeMarco's synthpop number "Chamber of Reflection" from his latest album Salad Days, even keeping DeMarco's original "alone again" vocal hook, which ties in to Khalifa's theme of the alienation his fame has brought him. This is the sort of hazy production that Khalifa should be using more often.
  • Ferguson Protests Led D'Angelo to Push Up 'Black Messiah' Release

Earlier this week, neo-soul pioneer D'Angelo surprised the music world by suddenly releasing his new album "Black Messiah," his first new album since his 2000 classic "Voodoo," with almost no warning whatsoever. Despite its absurdly long gestation period, however, "The New York Times" reports that the album's release was somehow still rushed, as D'Angelo's label RCA had originally planned to drop it sometime in early 2015. But following the volatile situation in Ferguson, Missouri, and the grand-jury decision to not indict Officer Darren Wilson for the shooting death of Michael Brown, D'Angelo decided to push up the album's release to Dec. 15. According to D'Angelo's manager Kevin Liles, D'Angelo had called him up in distress last month following the Ferguson grand-jury decision. "He said, 'Do you believe this? Do you believe it?'" Liles recalls. "And then we just sat there in silence. That is when I knew he wanted to say something." With the famously delayed album put on the fast track for release, D'Angelo and RCA pulled "many all-nighters" to finish the album, which included everything from the artwork and tracklist to the music itself.
  • St. Vincent Shares Quirky "Birth In Reverse" Music Video [WATCH]

2014 has been quite an incredible year for Annie Clark, a.k.a. St. Vincent, and today (Dec. 16), she caps off the year with a great music video for her single "Birth in Reverse," which you can check out here. As can be expected from a St. Vincent music video, the whole thing is pretty bizarre, with images of Clark singing and dancing (or something close to dancing) in sterile, dream-like sets, though the highlights of the video are the shots of Clark playing guitar in outer space.
  • Tink Shares "Around The Clock" Music Video, Featuring Timbaland, Charlamagne Tha God [WATCH]

Up and coming Chicago rapper, Tink, has shared the music video for her recent single, "Around The Clock" featuring The Breakfast Club host, Charlamagne Tha God, which you can check out here. The DGainz-directed clip is as dark and mysterious as the Timbaland-produced track, with Tink hanging around an inner city alley at night (with Timbaland by her side, wearing sunglasses) and rapping with a confidence far beyond her 19 years.
  • YG Shares Minimalist '2015 Flow' Music Vid [WATCH]

Compton rapper YG has shared the music video for his recent single "2015 Flow," which you can check out below. The refreshingly minimalist video features YG in a dark room with red and black walls, simply rapping to the camera in a single, unbroken take. As the camera gradually zooms back, it is revealed that DJ Mustard, the track's producer, is sitting on a couch throwing cash around — because this is a rap video, after all. You can check out YG's "2015 Flow" music video here:

Ghostface Killah has shared the music video for his single "Love Don't Live Here No More" featuring Kandace Springs, which you can check out below. The Dan "The Man" Melamid-directed clip stars Michael K. Williams (a.k.a. Omar from The Wire, Chalky White from Boardwalk Empire) as an ex-con who gets out of prison and finds his girlfriend with another man, though it gets much darker from there.
  • Mark Ronson Reveals Tracklist, Artwork For Upcoming Album 'Uptown Special' [PHOTO]

In anticipation of its release, Ronson has shared the album's cover and tracklist, revealing some exciting guest appearances, including Tame Impala's Kevin Parker, Mystikal, Andrew Wyatt, and Stevie Wonder, among others.

Atlanta rapper Ca$h Out has shared the music video for his latest single "Let's Get It," featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Wiz Khalifa, which you can check out below. The Gabriel Hart-directed clip features Ca$h, Ty, and Wiz hanging around a smoky warehouse with some dancing women and tons of cash (you know, a rap video), though there's also a subplot involving Asian gangsters. Though it's not quite clear what exactly is going on, there are some pretty neat psychedelic visuals to keep things interesting.
