    2016 will mark the 50th anniversary of the Beach Boys' classic single "Good Vibrations," and to celebrate, singer Mike Love will be releasing a memoir titled Good Vibrations: My Life as a Beach Boy. According to Rolling Stone, the memoir is being co-written with author James S. Hirsch and will cover Love's entire life, beginning with his "early childhood and family story."

    Ghostface Killah's new album, '36 Seasons,' is set to drop in a few weeks, but in the meantime, the legendary rapper has shared another one of the album's tracks, "Double Cross." The track features a guest appearance from Brooklyn rapper AZ (one of his five appearances on '36 Seasons') who slyly references Wu-Tang Clan's classic single "C.R.E.A.M." in an absolutely stellar verse. Ghostface totally delivers as well, and the gritty production from The Revelations is a dream for die-hard fans of classic '90s hip-hop.

    A few weeks ago, The Flaming Lips released their 14th studio album 'With a Little Help from My Fwends,' a full-length tribute to the Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band,' and today, Nov. 20, the psych-rockers have shared another tribute: a cover of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's Christmas classic "Merry Xmas (War is Over)," which you can check out below. As can be expected from Wayne Coyne and his crew, the track is a psychedelic reinterpretation of Lennon and Ono's original, replacing the acoustic guitars with synthesizers, and even features Ono herself on backing vocals.

    Belgian singer Selah Sue has shared the lyric video for her single "Together," featuring a guest verse from Childish Gambino, which you can check out below. At first, the song has some ethereal, electronic R&B production that sounds like a more accessible version of FKA Twigs, though it eventually morphs into a more energetic club track with some tinny trap beats thrown in for good measure. Childish Gambino delivers his verse with a crazed, breathless flow, dropping in references to Kanye West and even a "Chapelle's Show" sketch.   • Joey Bada$$ Reveals Release Date, Artwork for 'B4.DA.$$' in Trailer [WATCH]

    Brooklyn rapper Joey Bada$$ has revealed the release date and album cover — which you can see above — for his long-awaited debut album "B4.DA.$$." In a brief album trailer posted to YouTube, which you can check out below, Joey revealed that the album is set to drop Jan. 20, which also happens to be Joey's 20th birthday. In a message posted beneath the video, Joey explains why releasing the album on his birthday was so important to him. "Peace young world this is the Badmon Jozif and I just want to thank all of my supporters and fans for being so patient with me as I finished my first album," Joey begins. "The wait is finally almost over and the release date is locked and loaded." "After discovering my birthday falls on a Tuesday (the day of the week all albums drop) next year I decided to save the album drop for then (1.20.15)," Joey writes. "I thought it was the best time to cause a shift. It's always been a goal of mine to drop a project on my birthday, and the premonition has finally come into fruition. The number 120 is very unique and symbolic to me as well. My 1st album on my 20th birthday this was destiny."
  • Soundgarden To Remix And Reissue Debut Album 'Ultramega OK'

    Grunge legends Soundgarden are having a pretty good 2014, reissuing their 1994 classic Superunknown and releasing the three-disc rarities compilation Echo of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across the Path, but they're far from done with the reissues. In an interview with Pulse of Radio (via Blabbermouth), guitarist Kim Thayil revealed that the band has plans to remix and reissue its debut album Ultramega OK, which was released in 1988 and recorded with legendary grunge producer Jack Endino, who also recorded Mudhoney and Nirvana.

    Hip-hop duo Run The Jewels have shared the music video for their single "Blockbuster Night, Pt. 1," which you can check out below. The Trevor Kane-directed clip casts El-P and Killer Mike as EMTs during a nightshift down in Mike's hometown of Atlanta, though they appear to be much better at rapping than saving people's lives (they even go so far as to flip off an old man who's clearly having a heart attack). Fellow Atlantan Cole Alexander of the Black Lips makes a brief cameo.

    Back in July, Scottish producer Hudson Mohawke shared an instrumental track called "Chimes," the title track from his "Chimes" EP, and today the song has been subjected to an extensive remix, which you can check out below. The new remix features new verses from French Montana, Travi$ Scott and Pusha T, as well as a chorus hook from Future.   • Rod Stewart Writing New Album, Has '10 Tracks Ready'

    Rock legend Rod Stewart is currently in the middle of a residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, but once that concludes in February, he will be shifting all his focus to his new album. In an interview with "Vegas Player," the 69-year-old singer revealed that he has been writing songs for his follow-up to 2013's "Time," and he is more prolific now than he ever was. "Believe it or not, I've got 10 tracks ready for the new album. I've got songs coming out of my bum at the moment," Stewart admits jokingly. "I just wish I could have had this 25 or 30 years ago. I was enjoying myself too much then."

    This year, Canadian prog-rock trio Rush are celebrating the 40th anniversary of their debut album, but that does not mean they have any plans to slow down. In a recent interview with radio.com, guitarist Alex Lifeson and bassist/vocalist Geddy Lee discussed the possibility of new music in the future. "Some days I feel like being back out on the road and taking advantage of the fact that it's our 40th anniversary," Lifeson says when discussing the band's future plans. "On other days I sit around messing with musical ideas and think, 'We've got to start writing.'" "I just want to play," Lee adds, "I wouldn't mind going back on tour. I'm really dying to play, I have all of these new old instruments that I'm dying to try out." When discussing what they'd like to do on their next tour, Lifeson reveals that he would want it to "be more of a 40th anniversary celebration ... a fun trip back to the past with maybe some looking forward."

The Motion Family-directed clip features Jeezy rapping in semi-black and white (the only color that shines through is gold, of course) against a bare white backdrop, featuring appearances masked women, a snake, some huskies, and for some reason, a stove (though there might be some old-fashioned misogyny attached to that last one).
