    Marvel Comics has been playing up its relationship with hip-hop for some time now. There have been a number of comic books starring rappers, and the label released a pair releases featuring Run The Jewels-tributes on their respective covers. Now the publisher has announced a series of 50 comic book covers featuring tributes to classic hip-hop album covers. The first ten were released online this week.

After antagonizing just about everyone in the Hip Hop community, especially nemesis Rick Ross, it appears that the self proclaimed funny man is no longer laughing after being ordered by a judge to pay out $5 million dollars in punitive damages to Lastonia Levinson, the mother of Rick Ross' child, after uploading a sex tape of her back in 2009. 3 days after the verdict was handed down, Jackson has now filed for Chapter 11 citing bankruptcy.

    There was obviously some trouble with security at Summer Jam over the weekend, as fans without tickets started a miniature riot and got the New Jersey police to fire tear gas canisters into the fracas. Although it seems as if law enforcement was in the right for that case, rapper 50 Cent alleged that security inside the stadium was a little rough with himself and his G-Unit crew prior to them appearing with Chris Brown onstage.

    Robert Marin, owner of LAX Jewelry Co., which services a lot of rappers in the area, is claiming that someone in 50 Cent's crew pistol whipped him and stole $250,000 in jewelry. This all went down during the big fight weekend between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Paquiao. According to Marin, he met up with 50, real name Curtis Jackson, at Drai's nightclub on May 1 and showed him the jewelry, which 50 was interested in buying, but they needed to come to an agreement on price.

    Forbes has unveiled its cash kings list for the richest men in hip-hop and the numbers continue to grow at a remarkable rate. Dr. Dre clocked in as the wealthiest man in the genre last year when word began to spread about the sale of Beats to Apple for a whopping $3.2 billion. That number was later revised down to $3 billion and he went on to declare he was hip-hop's first billionaire. However, with his 25% stake in the company and after taxes, he "only" accrued a $500 million windfall. That left the door open for a rise in revenue from 2014's second place artist, Diddy, who has risen to the number one spot in the 2015 hip-hop cash kings list. Jay Z, 50 Cent and Cash Money's Birdman round out the rest of the list.
