• Lady Gaga Thrilled Over Her Golden Globe Nomination for 'American Horror Story'

Following her widely publicized turn in 'American Horror Story: Hotel,' Lady Gaga is thrilled over a recent Golden Globe nomination for her role as The Countess in season 5. Created by Ryan Murphy, the series is enormously popular amongst fans and Lady Gaga is likely a big part of the increasingly popularity due to her star quality.
  • Jennifer Aniston Happy to Be 'No. 1 Snubbed' of Oscar Noms

Is Jennifer Aniston the most snubbed person to walk away without an Oscar nomination this year? Well, truth be told, most of us cannot be too sure because while she has garnered critical acclaim for her role as a chronic pain sufferer in "Cake," it has not actually hit theaters yet, so most of us have yet to actually see it. She has scooped up leading actress nominations at the SAGs and the Golden Globes, though, so that has to count for something, right?
  • Did Tina Fey, Amy Poehler Give Allegations Against Bill Cosby Credibility by Mentioning Them at the Golden Globes?

Bill Cosby has spent the better part of the last two months fighting to salvage his career after numerous women have come out of the woodwork to accuse him of sexual impropriety. He has not taken direct aim often. Instead, he has hired a team of investigators to find skeletons in his accusers's closets and used his minimal time onstage to take a verbal sideways shot, but all the while Cosby seems to have thought that, eventually, it will all go away. The fact that Amy Poehler and Tina Fey fired shots at Cosby during the Golden Globes may have had a bigger impact than anyone would have imagined. TMZ caught up with Michelle Hurd, an actress from "Law & Order" who is also a Cosby accuser. She found it ironic that a steady stream of women making similar allegations about being drugged and then assaulted have at times found themselves under the media's microscope, but once two respected fellow comediennes took aim at the man who once might have been sort of their idol, things look different. Fey and Poehler roasted Cosby out in the open and in front of an international audience. There was no hesitation in their words, and by the time they finished there seemed to be little doubt of how Hollywood as a whole is now viewing Cosby. It was also a bit ironic that these direct shots were fired at Cosby in prime time and on NBC, the network that he once helped to propel to the No. 1 position with "The Cosby Show."
  • Angelina Jolie Upset 'Unbroken' Overlooked During Awards Season

"Unbroken" may only be the second film Angelina Jolie has ever directed, but she set the bar ridiculously high for herself and was therefore expecting to be acknowledged. If you told us even a year ago that this film would be overlooked, even at the Golden Globes, while Jennifer Aniston scored a nomination instead it would have been unimaginable. Yet that is what has happened and it has reportedly left Jolie reeling. Even though this past year was loaded with personal highlights, such as her marriage to Brad Pitt, Jolie is still a workaholic who expects to do well enough to rack up award nominations. According to a report by Page Six, she is upset she and "Unbroken" were overlooked. Sources close to the voting system claim that if it was a few years ago, her star power would have been enough to get a nod or two from the foreign press. This year has been packed with great projects, and the press felt that, comparatively, "Unbroken" was not good enough. Not measuring up is unfamiliar territory for Jolie, so no wonder she is upset by the snub. She does still have a chance to grab an Oscar nomination, though. Those will be announced Thursday morning, Jan. 15, and Jolie is likely looking for some validation that her work is worthy of the Academy's acknowledgment this year.
  • Nina Dobrev Runs Into Ex-Flame Ian Somerhalder and Ex-Friend Nikki Reed at 'InStyle' Party

It was bound to happen sooner or later, right? Eventually, Ian Somerhalder and his girlfriend, Nikki Reed were going to come face-to-face with his former flame, Nina Dobrev and it finally happened last night. All three attended the InStyle after party that followed the Golden Globes and while it was likely pretty awkward, especially for Dobrev, things remained civil between them although for the majority of the night she was nowhere near the lovebirds.
  • New 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Trailer Released After Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson Had No Chemistry at Golden Globes

In about a month, "Fifty Shades of Grey" is finally going to premiere in theaters nationwide and then, after years of speculation, we will finally all know whether or not this movie actually works. There has been so much chatter about every aspect of it — from the casting to whether or not it can possibly live up to the book with an R rating — that the bar has been set extremely high. Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele will really have their work cut out for them. Both actors were on hand to present an award at the Golden Globes last night, Jan. 11. It was a chance to put Dornan and Johnson together in the same place at the same time, to build up a bit of anticipation for the film. If there time together onstage was any indication of how they relate to one another, "Fifty Shades of Grey" might be the most awkward thing to hit theaters this year. Of course, nerves may have been a factor in their presentation, but after hearing that chemistry had been an issue during filming, well, last night it kind of felt like that might be true, and without chemistry this film is going nowhere.
  • Jennifer Aniston Ready to Take on More 'Dark' Roles After Success of 'Cake'

Will tomorrow night be a real turning point for Jennifer Aniston? The actress is up for a Golden Globe Award as outstanding lead actress for her role in the dark indie flick, "Cake" and she seems to have a pretty decent shot of walking away with it. This seems to have been a year of real growth for Aniston in a multitude of ways. She has handled the press differently, tackling topics dead on, rather than hiding from them and she has talked about personal growth. It's that growth that ultimately allowed her to take the role of a chronic pain sufferer in "Cake" and the rewards already, have been great.
  • Oscar Best Original Song Shortlist: Coldplay, Lorde, Lana Del Rey Included

The Golden Globes listed five nominations for Best Original Song earlier this week, and the Academy Awards have now followed suit with a "short list" of 79 songs up for the same title. The Globe will be decided on the night of Jan. 11, but the Oscars don't take place until Feb. 22, so there's still a full month before that lengthy selection of songs gets pared down to five.
  • A Golden Globe Snub, Insulted by a Sony Executive, Chicken Pox: Angelina Jolie Might Be Having the Worst Week Ever!

This is definitely not the best week of Angelina Jolie's life, that's for sure. While she has been traveling all over the place to successfully promote the new film that she has directed, "Unbroken", things that are beyond her control have to be weighing heavily. First Jolie's name was connected to those leaked Sony emails, with studio execs calling her "spoiled" and "marginally talented", then she was shut out of both SAG and Golden Globe nominations. Now Jolie is going to have to sit out several appearances connected to "Unbroken" because she has been diagnosed with the chicken pox.
  • Angelina Jolie Shut Out of Golden Globe Nods, Jennifer Aniston Grabs Another 'Cake' Nod

The Golden Globe nominations were announced this morning, and there seems to be one name surprisingly missing from the list: Angelina Jolie. Earlier this year, the actress was praised for her work in "Maleficent" and many insiders believed it would easily fetch her a nod or two at awards time. Then "Unbroken" came out, and Jolie's directorial skills were praised. In spite of both efforts, Jolie's name is absent from the list of Golden Globe nominations. Adding more than a little bit of sting to Jolie's being slighted is the fact that Jennifer Aniston has not only secured a leading actress nomination today but also grabbed a SAG nod yesterday morning, Dec. 10, as well. Aniston's work as a chronic pain sufferer in "Cake" has been praised since it was first previewed in September. We heard early on that her performance was generating Oscar buzz, but it was not until she actually started turning up on the list of nominees for other awards did anyone really take that too seriously.
